This place reeks of corporate greed. The people who answered the phone seem uninformed. For example, the rep could not (after many failed attempts to explain) understand the fact that videos generally have two audio tracks embedded within them, and I wanted to make sure my tapes were captured in stereo. This is really basic knowledge for anyone who knows the first thing about tapes and tape capture. They add fees for everything. Rare format tape fee - $20. Beta is/was one of the most common tape formats, but sure. 64 GB flash drive - $45.99. Seriously? Also, the rep said "hard drive", which made the fee palatable. Not "cheap usb stick you can never use for anything else and should cost $10". Oh, and a $45 service charge for "intake" and "quality review". So great, went to EverPresent with an online $40 estimate, walk out the door (two months later, half a dozen calls from confused reps later) with a bill of $148.86 for a single tape. And oh wait, I gave them two tapes. Only one was digitized. Seriously, skip this place and go somewhere that doesn't milk every dime from...

I would recommend this company again and again. When my grandfather passed away September 2019, I was the one to acquire his old film reels and equipment. The drop off process was easy and welcoming, they are so helpful over the phone, and they easily communicated updates on the reels even during the busy holiday season. I saved my digital video of family holiday memories for a special occasion, and I'm so glad I did.
