This is my review and these are my opinions. I attempted to sign up with MISTR about two years ago and that was unsuccessful. At that time, I was having extreme difficulty with staff/agent(s) lack of professionalism, never receiving timely and concise responses to very personal in nature questions/inquiries. I felt a disconnection with MISTR's Mission and Objectives....IMO- global education and awareness, eliminate the spread of HIV and some STI's, and the bottom line being; saving lives. I sent a lengthy and affectionate "Dear John" and stated my qualms, my interactions and overall experience, and my reasons for not moving forward with MISTR. FAST FORWARD In the back of my mind, I was second guessing whether my standards were to high and did my personal ethics and views prevent my own life from being saved with a free prescription from MISTR for PREP and PEP Doxy. So, I contacted MISTR once again to restart the application process. I, once again, ran into the same issues with professionalism, communication, and respect but this time I was well equipped and proactive in foreseeing obstacles, and kept communication to a bare minimum. After almost a year, I received my first prescription delivery, provided and paid for by MISTR and affiliates. Thank you! And ever since, I continue to receive on a monthly basis. Does require you to respond to text messages about approving shipment of meds, verifying shipping address, and signing by signature that you received your prescription(s). Summing it up! I do what needs to be done to get the free meds. If I had to pay out of pocked for MISTR's prescription program, would I? Hell no! I am too customer service oriented. Have to be honest. But keeping it real, real. I sold out for the freebies, but these freebies saves lives and will prevent me from infection of the...
Read moreMISTR is a major step forward in making sexual health care more accessible, especially for gay and bisexual men, transgender people, and anyone who has felt excluded by the traditional health care system. Having both PrEP for HIV prevention and Doxy-PEP for STI reduction available through one online platform is huge progress.
That said, this system is not perfect. Telehealth has its limits, Doxy-PEP raises valid concerns about antibiotic resistance, and staying on top of labs and follow-ups is still essential. For me, MISTR has been mostly positive—I’ve been able to stay protected and feel more in control of my sexual health. But it’s not a “set it and forget it” solution; you still need to be engaged...
Read moreMISTR OR HEYMISTR is just bad.
Dealing with this company has been a frustrating experience. The customer service and pharmacy teams consistently fail to follow through, leaving you in the dark and forcing you to chase them repeatedly for updates. Reaching anyone by phone is impossible. They provide vague information that’s either incorrect or incomplete because they haven't bothered to review the necessary details. This organization is far from what I would recommend to anyone. It's clear that they don't prioritize your health or well-being. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of care and efficiency in an industry where those qualities...
