Norbrook Cakes — Local services in New York

This lady ruined my wedding night and she is unprofessional. I went to the Italian cake maker in Ave N when I saw her business and thought let me support small business like hers and my people . The experience was awesome and I loved te owner, who was friendly and accommodating. While having my cake tasting, we tasted a red velvet ,butter rhum , carrots and decided I wanted my wedding cake to be exactly those flavors.I I order a 3 tiers cake (carrot , red velvet and butter rhum) for my wedding Reception and let her know it started at 7 pm . She never called or the place to let us know there was a problem. I put the flavor so the guest can choose their flavors. Little did I know when I got there there was no cake. Called her she never answered her phone or the store. I had to serve my guests general desserts from the venue. No cake and no call. She came at 10: 15pm when most of guest was gone and the cake look like a mess. I didn’t get the flavors that I ordered nor the decoration that I showed on the pictures. She gave me birthday cake and vanilla cake the cake was dry and had hardly any flavor, just sugary . I was highly disappointed, especially after choosing her over the Italian bakery that the venue recommended and paid extra for an upgrade. 3days after the wedding ,She never called to apologize or explained until I called and she said” the first cake that I made for you was beautiful and would’ve like it “ and promised to call me back which never happened . I went there and her mother told me what happened. She had an accident which I didn’t see no pictures or calls to give me a heads up to let the venue know. When I called her again to let her know that I didn’t get what I ordered . She didn’t want to hear what I have to said and offered me free cake. Get more training or learn professionalism.I regretted going to her and the people at the venue, my family and guests asked me “is this a homemade cake ? a lot of the guests that tasted the cake can be heard making comments of like "oh my God cakes isn't good That’s how bad it was. 0stars. I wanted to order a cake for my daughter’s graduation. I googled shops and came across this bakery with good reviews. I called the bakery 2 times before I went there stating I wanted a graduation cake for June 24 , as I was shopping around at the time for prices, I was told a cake for 6 people decorated would be $45. That sounded awesome to me! I arrived on Sat June 8 at 10:57, wanting to see what the cake would look like . I was shown a cake that was quite nice but it was $85, I asked what about the $45 cake. I was told no we don’t anymore it’s a grab and go cake. I said but I called 2x I asked do you have any pictures I was told to go on Instagram, I don’t have instagram. Five stars isn't enough for Norbrook Cakes! I ordered a custom cake for my sister’s birthday, and from the first message to the final bite, the experience was flawless. The cake was not only stunning like, seriously Instagram worthy but it also tasted even better than it looked. Moist, rich, and perfectly balanced not too sweet, just right.
