Only way to travel from and to Staten Island, its free yay 😁, but free isn't necessary a good thing, free means anybody is going to have access to it, and feel entitled to it as of they paid the highest of prices (free ninety nine) but seriously speaking the boats do arrive roughly on time and do get you to Manhattan which is really where you want to be. Restrooms are available I do not know how the female restroom is inside, I do know the male restroom could see an upgrade in cleaning services, if you have a cost, jacket, backpack or anything tgat requires you to hook and hang well that will near impossible do to the deliberate removal or snapped of hooks on the restroom backdoor, so it's designed for your inconvenience do you their thinking 🤔 it must be clever thinking to do the things they do to to justify making the homeless people inconvenienced by this. And yes I know, but we always going to look evil when we choose to provide less services. If you gotta use it which most US do. Then it's your best option. If you want the one stop, no mess travel, I'd give you my best option and tell you to take the SI03, SI33 to Manhattan, you get better seats, the price is $7.00 but convenient, you have access to USB ports, AC outlets, and light plus it's...

When approaching this ferry terminal entrance, don't get caught by other people with vests that will try to convince you to purchase tickets for a ferry. This one is totally free! In my opinion you may not get up close to the Statue of Liberty (if that is the intention of the ferry ride for you) but I feel as a first time visitor to NYC and (limited funds), this gave my family the sight to see the statue and be satisfied. We rode the ferry from one end, exited (because it was mandatory) and re-entered the ferry for the ride back. It was a quick trip and we enjoyed it enough. We did not use the facilities on the ferry, so I can not comment on that. The facilities at the station seemed fine and there was limited food places like Auntie Ann's Pretzels and we were allowed to...

The St. George Ferry provides a convenient and free way to travel between Staten Island and Manhattan, with stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline. However, the experience can be marred by some safety concerns, particularly at night. There seems to be a noticeable presence of people who appear to be under the influence, which can make the atmosphere feel a bit unsafe. While the ferry itself is a great service, it’s important to stay vigilant, especially during late hours. Overall, it’s a useful transit option but could benefit from increased security to ensure a safer environment for...
