Oasis Day Camp Queens at LIU Post — Local services in New York

After reading the only ther review I have to disagree. This will be my child's third year and while I am a overprotective parent and worry about a lot my Daughter LOVES going here. First year she was scared her first day. She cried. Didn't want to stay and I promised her that if she did five days and after the five days didn't want to stay she didn't have to. She stayed and loved it. Some days she was sad cause she felt that certain kids played with her one day and not the next and other days she felt left out but the counselors always did their best to keep every kid involved. Put it this way...after her first summer she asked to go the second summer....even after I told her she probably wont see the same kids she told me its ok. Now this summer she's going again. So yeah to each their own but I have to disagree....this camp is good. These counselors while most are young they have good energy. Yeah there's always a couple of bad ones but isn't that every...

I don’t recommend this camp for amy parent looking for the daily activities that make this amount of money ok. They did a lot of sitting around and the calendar had all these great things listed that they would do that my daughter was really excited. They kept giving excuses, but they just wasn’t organized. The director Charles quit in the middle of the session and he was promising a great summer. One day there wasn’t enough water or spoons. The lunch and the chips provided was definitely lacking. My daughter saw the camp counselor smoking..I mean that says it all for over $2000 I don’t think so. Will never return or recommend this...

My son has been with Oasis since 2013. He started at Oasis in 2013 at QCC, all the way through teen travel, went to LIU for 2020, back to Queens for CIT and now as a counselor. 10 years! And counting..... He made lifelong friends, and became more confident in trying activities he used to be uncomfortable trying. His counselors and division leaders through the years have been amazing. I felt confident in his safety every day, at every activity. Thank you for everything! Oasis is truly his...
