Lulu and Dino Cafe Bakery — Restaurant in New York

Here is the thing, I bought 2 breakfast specials this morning, bagels and coffees. And i accidentally broke a mug behind me when I was waiting for my order, of course I would pay for what I’ve done, but i didn’t expect to pay the whole price because they display those fragile mugs right behind customer’s behind, and for people who go there knew how narrow the aisle is, i think they should take part of the responsibility as well.Sadly they didn’t check on me and didn’t ask if I was ok, i mean i would get hurt from the glass shards, but i guess nobody cares, thankfully there was a nice lady helping me picking up those broken pieces of mug on the floor, so i talked to the register that I would pay for it，but are you charging me the full price? Because there’s literally no protection for these fragile mugs, i think i made that clear, unfortunately they still charged me the full price, i have to say im really upset by the way they treated a customer, I didn’t say anything afterwards because i had to go to work, i don’t have a whole day arguing over a mug. Finally i got a chance to eat the bagel, but guess what? they just threw the bagel in a paper bag with napkins all together like trash, the bagel was not warped by foil or wrapping paper as it supposed to be,( I’ve been there a lot of times, bagels are always wrapped by wrapping papers), it was terrible!!! A very little cream cheese which I can barely taste any , i wasn’t happy at all as a regular! Def not going...

I finally came here after constantly driving past this place & seeing the sign that states coffee with Bagel & cream cheese special. It's very eye-catching. So I was craving it.

🦋sadly, that special is until 11 a.m., as the staff stated, because I came after 12. 🦋There's parking space (small lot) available &/ or street parking. 🦋 Place looks big, but quiet small inside. Inside & outside seating available. Outdoor seating looks very pleasant on a nice day. 🦋 Staff were great & accommodating. Answered all our questions. The manager made our visit very welcoming. 🦋 Coffee was good. They use El Colombia beans. I enjoyed my mocha with extra flavor. My partner enjoyed his caramel macchiato. 🦋we tried two different types of muffins. It was alright. 🦋it's a coffee & bakery place. So all the backery goods and sandwiches are in plastic packages...

But overall, I definitely recommend it. Nice atmosphere. Most people were on their laptops & working. Nice atmosphere.

FYI: after 7pm all the baked goods...

I’ve bought tiramisu from this location several times in the past and have generally been satisfied with the quality, so what happened yesterday was both surprising and disappointing. At first glance, the cake looked fine, well-presented which gave no indication of the issues inside. But the moment I cut into it, the entire structure fell apart. The cake was soggy to the point of collapse, and yet the ladyfingers were hard as a rock. This suggests a serious inconsistency in preparation, perhaps they were over-soaked or improperly stored. What’s worse, everyone in my family who ate a slice experienced diarrhea the next day. While I can’t say for certain whether the dessert was expired or improperly handled, the outcome raises real concerns about food safety. It makes me wonder if something went wrong with this particular batch. Given my prior positive experiences, I hope this was an...
