Oasis Nail Inc — Local services in New York

I’ve been coming to Oasis for about a year. It’s a really well known spot in the West Village. And while it’s not the biggest or fanciest nail spa you’ll ever go to, I promise the service is unmatched. There’s always a wait and it makes sense as to why. The technicians don’t rush through the services. They take their time, make sure to be extremely gentle and precise and truly care about your comfort. They use the highest quality products, i.e Essie, OPI, CND, etc. I’ve done both gel and gel extensions here and I ALWAYS get compliments on my nails. I did nail art for my birthday as well and I was so happy with the result. For the quality of work, the prices are fair and they don’t push you into other services you don’t want. Jenny, the owner, really makes sure her staff is knowledgeable and provides the best work. Every tech I’ve had has been as amazing as the last. Their massages are also amazing....

Made a same day pedicure appointment for myself and a friend on a Tuesday. Place was packed when I arrived around 6:30pm. It’s a small space - expect to walk and sit closely to other people. A woman came in and asked how long the wait would be for a mani and pedi. All the mani and pedi spots were taken but they still said “NO WAIT.” They’re trying to get as many people in as possible, that’s for sure.

Technician didn’t scrub as hard as I would have preferred. She also reached over to turn off the massager on the chair instead of just asking me, which I thought was quite rude. Would I come back? Only if I was in the neighborhood and needed something ASAP. Because it seems like they don’t turn...

I’m so disappointed. I have been coming here for over a year. At the beginning they requested cash, not credit, but by the beginning of the year they began pressuring customers for cash. I started to become skeptical when there was a second price increase within a year. The first was announced, the second was not. The final straw was when I went for my last pedicure and ended up with a fungus on all 10 toes. They do not open new, sanitized tools, for each new customer and at first I thought I just didn’t see them open them but now I am sure they just weren’t clean. Please stay away. They did an amazing job at first but I can no longer recommend...
