Yesterday I took my 14 year old son to Ocean Optical to get his 50th pair of glasses. I say 50 (but it’s probably more) because this is the only place I will ever step foot into for glasses. Not only is everyone very professional and knowledgeable but extremely sweet, kind and caring. From Olya who knows both me and my son from the first phone call I make to schedule an appointment, to the eye doctors who take the time to check every detail of his eyes to make sure he’s getting the right prescription, to the owner Angela who literally takes the time and has the patience of an angel to let him try on every single pair of glasses he likes to make sure that he is happy and comfortable. Everyone in the store goes above and beyond to accommodate as best they can and always with a friendly smile from the moment you walk in. And this is not an easy task as they have a HUGE selection of both prescription and sunglasses and customers can be exhausting, but they make your experience very easy and comforting. Even after my son and I left the store, he turned to me and said “I love them there. I will always get my glasses there forever”. Without a doubt, the best and only optical store anyone...

If I could give them no star, I would. STAY AWAY! They are scammers and crooks and just generally rude and insolent! They carry fake merchandise and know it! That's why they have a no return policy as my mom found out later when she tried to return fake "polarized" glasses when she took them to a nearby optical store for a test. The glasses they sell there are also so overpriced (not to mention counterfeit) it is ridiculous how they are still in business. Unfortunately, they rely on Russian speaking immigrants, especially those who don't speak English well and are gullible, otherwise they would know that even most reputable brands such as Oakley or Chanel or Ray Ban have cheaper prices than they do and also that regular stores honor a return policy when the merchandise is unsatisfactory, or even worse counterfeit. These people don't know what honor is! They exploit people and that's despicable! Hopefully, trades commission would interfere soon and close them down for good!

Came in here for an eye exam and new glasses. I told the lady, who looks like someone who goes to the beach a lot and probably the manager, that I was willing to pay whatever to get a good pair of glasses so I can see clearly. I went for an eye exam and they helped me pick a pair of glasses that looked nice on me. Everything went well until I got the pair of glasses. When I picked it up 2 weeks later, I automatically can tell that the lens seems blurry and I wasn't able to see as well as my old pair. I told the lady with sun damaged skin that and she told me to try it for a week and then come back. I tried it for over a week and I still can't get use to the blurriness and they told me that my prescription for my left eye went up which is why it's blurry in both of the lens.
