Iām thrilled to have a zero waste grocery store nearby. They have great produce and some harder to find in plastic free packaging items like cheeses, nut milks, and dry goods.
Iām giving 4 stars because Iām hoping this is helpful vs harmful.
I mentioned in store twice now to the cashier but it doesnāt seem to be getting heard so maybe management will see this. A lot of the produce in the refrigerator is stored improperly causing it to wilt. Iām guessing theyāre throwing a lot out early because itās getting wilted / floppy. Most of the veggies in the fridge would stay crisp if the metal bins itās sitting in were filled with some water. Or if the tops were removed from things like carrots and radishes bc thatās what makes them go floppy. Fresh herbs do great if theyāre in a glass of water with a stasher bag on top to hold the humidity. Mushrooms do great in a covered container. It would just be nice to buy produce there they I donāt have to go home...

This kind of dedication to customer service is rare and so appreciated. I already loved this store for its great selection, but Jake's willingness to go the extra mile has made me love it even more. Thank you, Jake, and thank you, Precycle, for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was dying for a good source of produce in this neighborhood, but I find the greens to be wilty and sad half the time.
Eggs, dried goods, etc, are phenomenal. Can't be beat.
I love the mission. The owner was super nice. I will still genuinely come back here every time as a first pick.
But, it kinda reeks of the feeling of having nicer stuff in the back that is waiting to be shelved, and I'm doing the work of shelving it by buying the old stuff. Which, fine, but I'm not excited by it. I'll keep walking in, on my way...
