I never thought I would receive the most beyond-my-dreams salon services at an Ulta and learned from my experience that there are some good reasons why AMAZING stylists choose to work outside those “trendy” boutique salons. Jamie at this location is the absolute greatest stylist in every way possible I have ever experienced in all my 42 years. I’ve seen her three times now, and each time, she has blown my mind. Not only is she ridiculously talented (again, I have never been so impressed with cut or color and am convinced I never will be), she is an absolute joy to spend time with. I get massive social anxiety, and it used to prevent me from getting my hair done. Jamie makes me feel carefree again and puts me in an incredible mood. I can I easily pay for my services with my Ulta points and even without them, the cuts, color, etc. cost so much less in comparison to the salons here in Brooklyn which is great! Because I can give Jamie a bigger tip which she deserves!!!!!! Also, the outcome is 10 million times better so what is not to love. Ask for Jamie, she will baffle you with her talent and take less than half the time it would take anywhere else But also, all the staff I encounter here are so super sweet and down to earth. I never feel like they are pandering or upselling they are just being real, cool, people. I got my hair colored today and I can’t stop staring at it in awe. Decades of going to salons that didn’t put in the effort made me now appreciate and be grateful for real talent...
Read moreCame here with my service dog as I usually do and have numerous times. This particular day a worker came up to me and told me she had to help me directly because people were scared of my dog. There was not a single customer around us. I informed her my dog is a trained service animal and I don't need any help. She proceeded to stand and hover over me the entire time I was trying to shop. I let her know I did not want her doing that and she did leave me alone. But that was already unpleasant and then I heard her discussing it to other workers. Also she didn't even end up ringing me out in a separate area like she said. She took me to the main line where she had me skip everyone, causing the people who were on line to not be aware of my dog and get startled when they turned around to me there all of a sudden, as anyone would. To which they said "it's okay I just didn't know the dog was there no problem" and she started apologizing profusely to them on my behalf which was uncalled for. Neither myself nor my dog caused any disruptions to need to apologize so obnoxiously for me making a scene and embarrassing me. If anything, there was only attention drawn to me BECAUSE of her. I have shopped seamlessly with my SA in this store and the mall itself countless times so this was...
Read moreI usually go here and get everything I need on some days where it’s usually the staff I know I always see, who is very helpful and they know exactly who I am! Today when I went I seen different people working which was odd, swatched a couple of products mind you I am a professional make up artist I know exactly what I’m doing but when I asked one of the girls who had balayage wearing a crop tee with a tattoo on her stomach super unprofessional.... I had asked her nicely if I can have a make up remover wipe she looked at me like I had 20 heads and gave me a look and handed me the Lancôme make up remover and said in the rudest way possible “this is all I have you can take a tissue and wipe it off” uhm excuse me? A tissue? Like do you know what you’re doing? You cannot use a tissue to wipe off make up because it is way to harsh for the skin.... any who I said “thank you :)” but she didn’t even say “you’re welcome” honestly if you’re gonna go to this store bring your own make up remover don’t even ask cause you’ll literally just get a Lancôme make up remover thrown at you with a harsh tissue because they won’t supply you with the good...
