the worst shelter I have ever been to. my first 30 minutes of being in the shelter( my paper work was not even done to become a resident there) some guy comes out in hand cuffs acting like a little girl, I was only there for a month and I seen at least 5 fights, there is free soap and deodorant and guess what 55% of them don't use it, the showers have mold on the ceiling, flees on the walls and curtains of the showers, the clients are rude to people who are trying to help them, the clients are high MICA clients, the clients are blaming the staff for clients problems and 75% of all clients in there are felons. im not just talking about killers (not saying killing is ok). the clients are rapist, pedophiles and arsons. the sad thing is this shelter has way better services then a general population shelter.

lol I cant believe people put 5 stars for this shelter. it was probably corporate. they don't want to look bad. oh well the truth...

No outside food allowed which makes absolutely no sense.

The shelters is set up as a prison/military barrack it makes you feel like you can’t leave.

If you do leave you will more likely than not loose your bed because of the Bed Signing policy, which people have been asking to be removed.

The staff are self entitled and do not allow you to transfer for your safety, forcing you to possibly be involved in an altercation which can lead to an assault charge which does ruin people’s futures and lives.

Some of the staff don’t like their jobs and they get mad if they have to give extra food, there is no forgiveness or understanding...

Unbelievable how dirty and how bad it smell. The dooms look like it hasn't seen a broom or mop in quite a while. You have to see fort Washington shelter for you self. Because this shelter is considered a mental health shelter, the power that be would care less how this place is run. We are mentally challenged, we don't deserved to live in a sanitary environment.
