Prestige Cafe and Deli — Restaurant in New York

If you live or work near New York’s Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, the New York State Psychiatric Institute or happen you be coming for a visit or doctor’s appointment, I have wonderful news to share! The Prestige Cafe and Deli located on Fort Washington Avenue , near the corner of169th Street, has exceptionally delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Their staff and owner, BJ, are wonderfully caring and empathetic to their customers and they are open 24 hours a day! I’ve become a loyal customer over the last few months and I’ve been very impressed with their delicious sandwiches and wonderful take out meals. In addition to their phenomenal selection of prepared paninis and other foods, they also have all kinds of grocery items in case you want to stock up on your way home! There aren’t a lot of places to get reasonably priced meals that are also high quality within steps of the Columbia Hospital complex. I’m so grateful that I discovered Prestige Cafe. pretty sad excuse for a nyc deli. the food prep looks amazing from the window but when you get a sandwich is underwhelming and over priced. i tried getting a BLT here on two separate occasions and both times i felt like the sandwich lacked the proper substance of a 7/8 dollar roll or hero. considering a BLT is just three ingridients plus mayo should make it easy enough to execute especially at a price range that matches sandwiches with cheese topping sliced meats, i'm reluctant to come here. yea the staff is nice but it's evident, given the type of snacks and price ranges, they're serving the inherited wealth yuppies from columbia and not the actual residents of the...

Service is terrible. I purchased a plain parfait and i asked if they had any nuts to go with the parfait cause they usually have nuts with the parfait but the cashier gave me an attitude in front of another customer. Store always taxing for all their food before inflation started. You buy food you get taxed, use your debit or credit you get taxed, and charge you grocery bag. No spanish grocery stores in the neighborhood tax their food or charge for a bag. That's why don't sell beer or cigarettes cause they can't tax it.
