Promise World Daycare — Local services in New York

PARENTS BEWARE!! I would not recommend if you have a child with any type of disability or any child for that matter. My son has mild behavioral issues but is highly intelligent but they were VERY reluctant to accept him to the daycare because his two ABA teachers would “be an issue.” Last time I checked according to ADA laws that’s considered discrimination but I digress. (Their weak excuse was it’s too many people during post pandemic. Both of my sons teachers are fully vaccinated and wear masks , so what is the problem???)

I finally placed my son in a daycare after months of waiting to be approved by HRA for me to realize this place is a complete joke who thought my son could not handle being in daycare from 9-6p. The owner was looking to find a reason wrong from the beginning. (Mind you he was in a kind and loving day care setting from 8a-5pm 5 days a week) EVERY CHILD DESERVES EQUAL CARE!!!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. When I pulled him out after the first day and expressed my frustration all I got was excuses. Due to me having to switch centers HRA has still not placed my son in daycare because it is a long dreadful process. The absolute inconvenience this place has caused me cannot be put into words.

Corrupt owner! Do yourself a favor and run away from this place. If you love your kids you won’t dare put them in this daycare. Run!!...

My daughter went to this daycare for the last 2 years until we tranferred her out recently. Last year she loved it. She loved her teachers and classmates and actually wanted to go everyday even on weekends. Im not sure what changed but this year she was crying all the time saying she didn’t want to go anymore and I wasn’t sure why she was acting that way especially since she loved it before. It was a complete change on her character.

Every year they have a show around december for the holidays. As a muslim women, I don’t have an issue with the show. They’ve done it last year. Every parent ,from what I know, has to pay themselves which is also not an issue for me. They also don’t allow parents to come and see the show in real life which is also fine considering covid. They film the show then send it after about 2 months. The reason I’m really upset is that this year when I was sent the video to the show, she wasn’t in the front row of any of the dances. Mind you there were at least 10 dances. Yet she wasn’t in the front row of any of them. Last year they gave all the kids turns to be in the front row. I feel like my child was left out....

My son attended this daycare and I decided to pull him out for numerous reasons. My son is fully potty trained and I leave a pull up in case of emergencies and he can't make it to the toilet but they would send him home sticky from urine. The older blonde woman who takes the kids in is extremely rude and has poor communication when it comes to parents UNLESS you speak RUSSIAN! My son was excited to start school after coming here my son started having nightmares, bed wetting (which he never had experienced before his experience at promise world daycare). My son was sent home with scratches on his face they stated it was another child but the next day my son was petrified to enter the establishment which I decided there and then he would not be returning. If you are looking for trustworthy people to watch your children run the other way from this daycare! They are only considered about receiving money and are not interested in the best interest of these children! I wish I could rate 0 stars but unfortunately I must give them 1!
