So basically I order from Sushi Meshuga for the past 5 years, maybe even longer (since the first few months of it’s opening in Midwood). I usually order through the website or pick it up myself, living very close to the Kings Highway location. Today, for first time ever, I decided to Uber Eats it, to get it faster, because I was feeling under the weather. My order is delivered but has a completely different sushi roll than I ordered. I call them immediately and the new employee, about 18 years or so on the register (with absolutely no customer service skills or manners for that fact) tells me 1. I’m wrong and don’t know what the roll looks like (mind you I have ordered this roll for the past 5 years, before it was even listed as a roll on the menu) 2. there is nothing he can do and 3. Hangs up on me. Living a minute away, I get frustrated and walk over there. I walk in and he acts like he hasn’t just spoken to me and tells me that he can’t do anything. As a loyal customer for almost half a decade, he acted as if I am in the wrong coming to get the SUSHI ROLL I PAID FOR. I was forced to go there myself when I just paid for deliver and fees and he was still behaving as if I am wrong and demanding something more than what I paid for. Absolutely disrespectful, ill-mannered young man who has absolutely no future in the working world or, in life, for that matter if he thinks it’s okay to treat customers, who go out of their way to get what they originally should have gotten, this way. I had never had any problems with my orders until today. I order sushi platters on a weekly basis for both shabbat and my shul shiurs and never was my order not delivered. This gentleman failed to check my order before he sent it out and then acted like he didn’t make a mistake. I will speaking with the owner regarding this, and will make sure that this boy gets the proper training in communicating with people like humans, not like animals. Now after spending 20 minutes to go there myself to demand my original order and writing this review, I wasted 1 hour of my time, no longer have an appetite and my food is cold. This issue could have been easily solved by this gentleman saying “we will make you the correct order in 10 minutes”. IT’S A $7.00 ROLL! Instead he chose the former response. It’s not so much about the money as it is about the treatment I got from this young man as a loyal customer. Oh and to put a cherry on top, he threw the bag into my face with the correct order after I stood there waiting for them to make my order that was never delivered in the first place. Sushi Meshuga PLEASE TRAIN YOUR NEW EMPLOYEES or you will lose all your customers with disrespectful...
Read moreI typically order the food to go. It seems it doesn’t matter what I order the wait is always ridiculously long. People typically order food when hungry, but you can’t with this place.I placed an order over the phone for delivery, an hour later my food was not delivered. I called and I was told the driver was 7 mins away. 15-20 mins later no driver, no food. I called and asked for a refund as I could no longer wait. The individual said ok. I asked do you need my information to process my refund he said no. While on the phone the driver knocks on the door, the individual on the phone said ok you got the food, I said yes it’s the driver. He then proceeded to say ok there is nothing else I can do for you. I said excuse me! I would like a refund, additionally there were certain food items that were supposed to be warm, they were cold. I mentioned this to the individual and he was adamant there was nothing he could do. I was a bit confused, he said he would refund the item, but clearly had no intention of doing so. I asked to speak to a manger and he said call back tomorrow. The 1 star is for the poor delivery service and customer service. There was no apology or care for the me as a customer. As long as they received the money, regardless of how poor the service was the individual was content. Staff is a reflection of the manager and or owner. I paid for food I did not eat and they did not care one bit and it’s very sad do to this to a loyal customer who’s supported this business on a weekly basis. If you want your food semi-timely go in person. Do not expect good customer service there is none and do not order food on an...
Read moreOnly found out about this place a few months ago even though I’ve been living in the area for a few years. Sushi is really good and very reasonably priced, especially knowing how much some of the other kosher places cost. Delivery drivers are also very friendly. Also had a really great experience with their customer service that I have to give credit for. I ordered something for delivery and was given the one of the wrong fishes. It was still something I liked and I wasn't going to ask for a refund or replacement but I still called to let them know in case it happened to someone else. The woman who answered was really nice about it and wanted to offer me a new one, but I originally said no because I felt bad and didn’t want to waste food or take something I didn’t pay for, especially because it wasn’t like I wasn’t going to eat it. Then she put the manager on and he wanted to hear what happened. He insisted on at least sending me a portion of the correct fish (if I didn’t want a whole new meal) because he said his customers are important to him and he wants me to be happy, so I accepted, even though I felt bad making the delivery driver come out again. But instead of just sending me the portion of fish, I was sent an entire redo of my order. They seem to really care about their customers. I’d definitely...
