They definitely improved the park alot improving softball fields and enhancing the soccer field. It took over a decade but there is now a walkway along the east river for great viewing of Manhattan and Roosevelt Island. They are in the process of building a field house for even more activities and events. This park is host to a few concerts in the summer time as well. Overall a great place to hang out. The only knock is parking can be tough.

I would've given it 5 stars due to the view of the river and the Hip Hop Block Party but that playground is DISGUSTING and NOT safe. It's spacious. You can play softball, Soccer, volleyball etc in the fields. There's a trail and a very nice view of the river. Everything is nice but that park๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ. It got a water sprinkler though. Lol

I would've given it 5 stars due to the view of the river and the Hip Hop Block Party but that playground is DISGUSTING and NOT safe. It's spacious. You can play softball, Soccer, volleyball etc in the fields. There's a trail and a very nice view of the river. Everything is nice but that park๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ. It got a water sprinkler though. Lol

Could cut the grass a bit more often. Nice that you can BBQ near field. Tree in right is kind of close. Trees before people in a park of course. Wish water fountain & bathroom were a bit closer. Don't understand why water fountain is closest to a non-used field, mutually inconvenient for...
