Rainbow Shops — Local services in New York

I wouldn't even be coming on here if I wasn't insulted and disappointed at the poor customer service that I received at the Burnside Avenue, Bronx, N.Y location. The poor service came from the manager on duty (a Hispanic man with short black hair who wears eye glasses) on 08/17/2023. I came into the store to exchange a body suit that had a zipper defect to it - when you zipped it up the zipper came apart. Now, I am aware body suits are non-refundable but I did not even get the chance to wear the body suit so I brought it back to exchange. At first he gave me a hard time asking me - that if it was defected why did I purchase it - which was a dumb question because don't you think it the zipper was broken I would have made the purchase. The tags were still on the item and I wasn't losing out on my money because the garment had a defect. After all of this he allowed me to exchange for the same /body suit which they didn't have any more in my size so instead I picked out another body suit that cost a dollar more. Today, 08/18/2023, I came into the store again and exchanged a tank top that I only purchased as a back-up just in case my outfit didn't work out. Turns out I didn't need it so I came in to make an exchange although I could have just gotten my money because I was in the time frame for a refund. So I told the store clerk I was making a exchange and he said ok. The same store manager appears out of no where and when he sees me he begins to talk about me in Spanish looking right at me. Again, my exchange cost more money than the original purchase. When I was leaving the store he pretended like he was sweeping but was watching me instead like I was a thief or something. This is where I was insulted by the whole shopping experience. To add insult to injury he went outside to further watch me through the window. When I was leaving the store is when he came back into the store. Now I am a well educated women who works and goes to school and I don't need to steal anything especially not from no Rainbow store. I shop here because they have good prices and cute clothes. I am reluctant to shop here again. Poor service avoid...

If I could give a ZERO I would had the worst experience at this store and would NEVER go back or recommend to anyone. First they don’t have fitting rooms so you won’t know how something fits until you get home so 2 weeks ago i bought 3 pairs of pants and only one fit right so I returned the other two last week. Since I found a bodysuit that was nice I purchased it in 2 different sizes to see which one would fit right and return the other one. I did the same with a pair of pants. I literally had this conversation with the employee that was ringing me up. I told him I was purchasing 2 of the same items with different sizes to see which one fit because they don’t allow you to try them on and how it was an inconvenience to the customer. He seem to understand but NEGLECTED TO TELL ME that bodysuits are not refundable. So today I returned with the bodysuits tags and all and with one of the pants( I kept one because it fit) and I get a hard no refund no exchange for the bodysuits and neither for the pants because I was there last week returning clothes. After arguing back and forth with the manager they refunded me the money for the pants and I lost my money from the bodysuits. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the humiliation DONT SHOP THERE ITS JUST NOT...

So today I went specifically to return two items and they told me that I needed my physical card because I paid with my digital wallet. Of course had my state ID with me just in case and he gave me cash which I didn't want,and since I made a separate Purchase at other location the manager refused that order but let me be clear won't visit this store again.
