I've encountered two frustrating experiences at this specific location. The first incident happened a few months back when the cashier, a young woman, displayed a noticeable attitude and rolled her eyes while processing my purchase. I greeted her, but that was the extent of our interaction. After completing the transaction, she handed me my items without offering a bag. When I requested one, she carelessly tossed the bag in my direction. I chose not to escalate the situation, thinking perhaps she was just having a rough day. While that doesnāt excuse her behavior, having worked in retail myself, I understand how challenging it can be, so I tried to be understanding.
Today, around 2:30 or 2:45 PM, I visited the store again. The young lady at the register didnāt seem very cheerful, but I brushed it off. As I was leaving, I noticed the travel-sized fragrance display and decided to take a closer look. While I was examining one of the fragrances, a staff member walked right in front of me and stood there without saying a word. It was quite obvious what she was doing, and she didnāt even bother to say "excuse me." Shopping at Sephora is becoming increasingly frustrating. While there are a few locations where Iāve received good service, many others have staff who are rude and unhelpful, making me feel unwelcome. This isnāt the case at every location, but this particular one has made my shopping experience unpleasant. Iām not sure if this review will lead to any changes, but I hope it serves as a warning for other shoppers. Iāve seen some positive reviews, and I genuinely hope my experiences are anomalies, but overall, itās becoming difficult to enjoy shopping at Sephora. Itās making me consider going directly to the brands I love instead, as the service here has been largely disappointing, aside from a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible. I bought a bunch of things during the rouge sale (2 weeks ago) and went to exchange 3 items for another set of 3 items that were the same price.
Throughout my time in the store I was constantly followed and harassed by employees and the WTC security guard. Every single section I went into someone was literally there watching me. If I wanted to steal something I wouldāve (I would never steal but what Iām saying is if I wanted to do something I wouldāve done it already) anyways, when I get to the register I tell the cashier that Iām exchanging, etc.. one of my items were not scanned (at the previous store) not sure why but that was not my fault. However, the cashier made it seem like I stole it. She kept asking me question after question about the product. And called security and made it seem like I was stealing. I had bought that product weeks ago (again, not my fault it wasnāt scanned. I made a huge purchase during the sale so maybe they forgot to scan?) however, they made it out to seem like I was a thief when I am not. It made me feel very uncomfortable being followed around, constantly asked if I need help, literally being watched, then accused of stealing. I didnāt get the cashiers name but she was on the far left end, short, dark hair & had a ponytail in her hair. I used to like this location because of the big selection but I would never ever ever go back here. They were watching me for āstealingā but I literally seen multiple people stela that exact day and they werenāt stalked or harassed but of course Iām black in American so I get stalked...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhoever was the manager of this Sephora on July/22/24 around 2:20 PM needs to learn how to treat customers better. My 6 year old son who was calmly sitting next to me on the floor as I was looking at make up got hurt when an entire piece of pretty heaving railing fell on his face. It cut his nose, left a visible mark with a small amount of blood. I asked a lady that worked there for a bandaid but they didnāt have any. I didnāt ask for anything else as I was simply trying to console my kid. I assume she told the manager who came to check what had happened and the first thing the manager said was āwhat was he doing because those pieces donāt fall off easilyā. Apparently just because he is a kid she assumed he had to be doing something crazy even though he was just quietly sitting on the floor. Regardless, the fact that her first words to a client who had a crying kid in her arms was to put blame on the kid rather then make sure everything was ok is unacceptable. Any decent person would have asked if the kid was ok and he needed anything else like the first woman that worked there did. The bottom line is that the piece was lose, it was the storeās fault, and my son got hurt as a result. However, things happen and I would not have been upset had this manager had the decency to actually express concern rather than jump to blame. I wished I had asked for her name because someone needs to let her know this is not how you work with costumers. I was planning to purchase many items at the store but after that treatment I will be sure to...
