I have been to this Spectrum store twice and have had a surprisingly pleasant experience both times, ESPECIALLY compared to what it used to be like when it was Time Warner. Time Warner USED to feel like the DMV---a guy at the entrance with a security guard vibe, crowded, long lines & waits, icky lighting, crabby reps behind bullet-proof windows who could never knew what they were doing... But THIS was different. I braced myself for the nightmare. Walked into the store.
Here was a light, open, airy space. I thought I had gone into the wrong store. A smiling man in a bright blue polo shirt and greeted me. "How can we help you today?" I told him my issue, and he led me to a kiosk to register. I did so, and he gestured to the waiting area, saying it'd be a few minutes. "Hah!," I thought. "A few minutes?! Yeah, right!" I turned around, and before me was a light and airy waiting area w/ casual bench seating. I sat down, steeling myself for an hour wait. Got out my laptop. Before it had finished booting, the guy came over, called me BY MY NAME, and said they were ready for me! Like a gracious host at a restaurant, he led me to my table--I mean a rep. "Meet Ricky, he'll help ya!" (Names have been changed to protect the innocent.) So there's Ricky, smiling, in a bright blue polo shirt, leaning casually on an open counter. I looked around for his pint of beer. "Hey, how can I help you today?" I explained my issue. "Oh, I'd be happy to help you with that, no problem!" Well, he knew his stuff. He joked with me. And we were done in, like, 5 minutes. I left, waving at my 2 new best friends. I almost felt like I should ask them to go for a beer. And now I had an extra 1-1/2 hours to my day! Went for a walk in the park.
So, yeah. I had a really...
Read moreIâve been with spectrum for a few years and not once have I been to a spectrum facility because any situation would be taken care of via mail or a technician coming to my home. Today I had to visit a near by location to exchange my box, as I enter there was one young lady helping a customer and then I was standing by the entrance waiting for the young lady to finish with that gentleman so I can get help. Another representative came out and shouted to the representative âWhoâs next?â And rudely told me âIf you donât sign in nobody will help you, you have to sign in on that screen!â Mind you Iâve never been to a spectrum and neither did I notice a computer to sign in as there wasnât a sign that would inform me of their protocol. After I responded to JOANN that I apologize but I didnât know I had to sign she actually got louder and told me âYou have to sign for us to know how many customers we have present waiting to get helped!â So I said no problem I just didnât know so when I was getting ready to do what she was shouting about she then says âItâs okay come over Iâm going to help youâ. It was 10am and there was only one customer and I. I donât know whoâs this Joann but sheâs really ghetto and really rude. There was no need for that energy to explain to me their protocol as it being my first time there. Joann needs to relax and calm down on how she speaks to customers. Why get a job where youâre not happy about...
Read moreWent early morning to get an internet router and signed up in the waiting list via paper since their tablet wasn't working (ironic cause it's a tech company.) I left and returned in 15 mins (that was the wait), and as soon as I walked in I noticed the store was empty. I then looked at the person who saw me check-in eariler and she just said "one second" while talking on her airpods to somebody (sounded like a friend or family.) I sat in a chair while there were 3 employees without a customers and after 4 mins, one of the workers came up to me and asked how could she help me. After that, everything worked out as plan, but you can tell nobody wants...
