The Cutting Room — Local services in New York

Went to this shop for the first time today out of convenience since its in my neighborhood. Pass this place every time as the atmosphere looks good.What I must say is that this is not a barbershop. Everyone who is saying on the reviews that this is a barbershop, its not. Its a hair salon. There's a big difference. The hair cut was decent but the stylist didn't blend my fade, did not shape me up correcrly leaving my lines all over the place and left my goatee and mustache lopsided and crooked. Not very pleased at how my hair cut came out and I kept it 💯 with the stylist that I wasn't feeling the cut. I have to walk around like this for the next two weeks to go back to my actual babrber. Firtstly, we enter the barbershop with my father and we were just standing and nobody tried to ask soemthing or just say hi, can i help you or something. Its strange for because they should get guests attention. After this i asked a guy that can i have an appointment or we can wait without it? He said: you wait.. we were waiting and pepple who arrived after us they can get cut earlier than us. They may have had appointment but i think the barber should tell some information about this for the new guests. I hate that people are impolite thats it. If you can believe it, I have been coming to this place for over 22-years! Even before it was called "The Cutting Room"! I am now 46-yrs old and thankful I still have a head of hair to cut! Steve and his team are amazing. I remember the first humorous sticker Steve put on his mirror, and now his wall is famous. I am a busy professional, so I always make an appointment in advance, and I am always seen on time. I promised Steve at my last visit that I will be coming here for the next 22-years!
