Z&Z Market Inc. — Local services in New York

I have shopped at this grocery store many times despite a handful of bad experiences but the customer service I received today has made me decide to not shop here anymore. The cashier stationed closest to the entrance is so rude and unprofessional. I have witnessed her arguing with a customer, yelling at him, even though the customer was not raising his voice. He asked calmly to speak with a manager but she kept saying “no, no, no” and began gesturing to help the next customer. I’ve gone to her to pay for my groceries many times in the past with no problems until today. She wouldn’t speak with us calmly. She kept saying “no” to anything we said - just absolutely refusing to be of any help. We left.

Besides the customer service, the groceries here are also not fresh. Sometimes the packaged raw chicken thighs and breasts have a foul smell. Each time I’ve bought any berries and refrigerated them for more than a day, they would grow mold. Currently, the pineapples out on display are all old and dry, wilting away. If you take a look at the ginger, onion and shallots, you’ll see mold growing on them. The store doesn’t even bother with getting rid of any of these items that have gone bad. If you go tomorrow or any other day, I can guarantee that you’ll find something with mold on it.

This store would benefit from (1) getting rid of that cashier and (2) making sure the groceries are fresh and...

PLS READ THIS!! So basically me and my brother were hungry so we decided to go to a nearby Asian supermarket to buy a snack and after we got in a worker kept looking at us(it felt so uncomfortable) even though we were just looking around for a scnak later when went to checkout and the store was almost empty,so there was still 2 cashiers open I went up to one and they were literally standing there and I was like wth are they not gonna do their job…then they told me to go to the other cashier so we went and this is the part that frustrates me the most the cashier was an Asian women like me and she literally try to scam me like bruh I counted my coins before giving it to her i knew it was the right amount so then I hand her the money and I wasn’t looking at her she literally had the audacity to say that I didn’t give her enough money and I was sure that I gave her the right amount (perharps she thinks that I’m a kid and doesn’t know how to count bruh I’m short but I’m literally 15)I didn’t want to cause any drama so I just gave her another quarter knowing that...

I have lived in this neighborhood for approximately 5 years, and I regularly pass by the Z&Z Market Inc.. I have consistently observed serious health and sanitation concerns at this store.

The supermarket frequently leaves fruits and other food items directly on the floor outside. I have also seen moldy fruits, such as blueberries and raspberries, being sold to customers. On several occasions, I have personally witnessed employees dropping fruit on the floor, then picking it up and placing it back for sale.

These practices appear to be clear violations of food safety standards. I have taken multiple photos on different days showing food items left on the floor, which I am attaching as evidence.
