Today, 10/11/24 at 10:52 am, I went to purchase an item at the Springfield Gardens location that I normally shop at and was lied to by the representative, who I believe is the manager of the store (receipt has his name as Vashti Boodram).

I'm part of a non for profit organization and come into Home Depot to purchase an item they needed. When the manager Vashti Boodram came to ring me up at the self check, I told him I have the tax exempt email on my phone and I'll pull it up. He then tells me he can't take that I would have to have the physical card on me, name has to match , etc.

So I asked Vashti when did this policy change, because I'm here all the time. His Response was " A few days ago". I immediately knew he was lying & felt he was profiling me because I was dressed down in sweats. He then proceeded to say "they're cracking down on fraudulent exempt forms" and the good thing is I can you use Apple Pay."

To avoid any further lies, I told him I'll handle this later and paid with my card. I later drove to 2 other Home Depot locations just to confirm that what he said was absolute lie. the representative's looked at me confused and they each said "as long as I have the card on my phone and they're able to scan, it's no problem at all''.

I returned my item that I bought at the Springfield location, and repurchased it at the other location with my tax exempt information with no problems at all!

This is absolutely unacceptable & horrible that Vashti Boodram, the manager of the store is lying to customers...

I freequent this particular location because i live nearby.There is a sales associate named Ria whom i have had several issues with.I purchase propane from this location roughly every two days.The first time i went to Ria’s register,I had a gift card.She refused to scan it stating that my gift card is a picture of a gift card instead of an actual digital hift card even though i clearly opened the app to open said card.She is a west indian woman and i am a 45 year old african american male.She is very judgmental and discriminatory.I had to demand a manager who then came to the register and completed transaction with no issues at all.The next time i happened to have Ria,i paid with my bank card and she chose debit for me so i would have to enter my pin number and giving me a passive aggressive grin the entire time.I explained to her that i am there at least four times a week making the exact same purchase for 10 months now and this is the first time i have had to enter my pin and she stated “it automatically ask for it if you tap”which i am 100 percent sure is incorrect information.At this point i do not even want to spend my money at this location anymore even though it is the closest to my home.I feel instantly judged and isolated when i see this cashier at this point.I am seriously considering not going here anymore and even thinking of going to corporate.She is way...

Overall, the place is clean and has a lot of staff. But I’m here doing a truck rental return and no one even tried to help. I had to ask twice and I was here from 6am and no one came to me until 6:21 after seeing me standing here for how long.. and I’m standing in a area by tbe cash registers waiting for someone to come and I’m just being looked at.

The day before renting the cargo van. A man was very helpful and handled all the customers that was in tool rental. While being patient and respectful.

I wish I had his name. He was bald headed but he was great.

If you are renting a van try not to do it days in adv because you don’t know what can happen. My reservation was cancelled from Wed on Saturday night for Sunday Morning. So I went Sunday morning because I saw there were cargo vans available and as I pulled into the parking lot there were vans.

Things you should know it’s there rental for 4hours if you pass the 4 hours is considered 24 hours regardless and if your surpass the 24 hours you will be charged a week. So just pay attention to the time you want something or if you want to get it back in time.. but just a heads up for people. They tell people to keep the equipment clean but people clearly don’t clean up.. so just make sure to have something to lay on the ground if you are moving...
