Brought my sister for her birthday, about 630am Monday morning. The floors were really filthy under most of the tables. We were sat at one that was pretty dirty underneath so I asked to move to a different table. The table across from us looked clean on top and underneath. My sister went to the bathroom and on return said the bathroom was very dirty and let the server know. He went to get our beverages and i pointed out how the entire floor was very dirty underneath most of the tables I could see (crumbs and chunks of food. Icky.) I didn't like sitting with my feet in that so when the server came back my sis told him I said the floor was dirty. He immediately got tight and he said we came at the hour when they usually clean the place so that's why it's dirty because we came at the time when they clean the place. I said, there's no one here. Did you all have like a big party or something yesterday and he says, "it gets very busy on the weekends. People come from the clubs and they're hungry and it gets very crowded. And he was really tight like he was offended I asked. We placed our order. I ordered gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes with my meal but was only brought gluten free without the chips. I said "I do believe I asked for chocolate chip pancakes and he said "hold on". He walked away and I was calling out to say never mind but he came back with a side of chocolate chips. I asked, "what happened to the chips being cooked into the pancakes?" He said they're not going to do that. They're not going to put the chocolate chips into the pancakes. They don't do it like that it comes as a side." And I said, "every time I come this is what I order and this is the first time ever I'm hearing they don't do it because they always do." He asked me if I wanted the chocolate chips and I said, "no thank you." As it drew closer to time for us to leave and get the bill all of a sudden he became "kinder and friendlier." (I've always hated that). I left a 15% tip, not because he earned it, but because the cook did an excellent job and I didn't want him penalized for the server's lack. The food was hot, delicious, and speedy. I would hope the young man learns a lesson about grace and class, but I'm not holding my breath.
I don't care if you had a busy night or if this is the hour when you clean. Maybe you should close up and clean. I've seen other restaurants setup up in between customers so I'm not receiving the excuse. I should not be obligated to sit in filth just because you might have had a crowd. Did not appreciate him getting tight, or arguing with me about chocolate chips being cooked in when that's all I've ever had. Who puts chocolate chips on the side? I've never had that at any IHOP. I really feel sorry for management, because they're having to hire from a generation that really knows nothing about service. I can tell you this: when a customer puts out $80 for breakfast for 2 and has this experience, if they have respect for themselves, they...
Read moreI went on 6/24/25 around 12: 50. This IHOP was horrible. We had been sitting there for an hour, and had not received an order for drinks or anything. We had to ask the woman at the front desk/reservation area to get drinks. The waitress finally came an hour later, for my son's graduation. Not until 1: 51, and we were counting. This was disgusting. As an allergy friendly family, we ordered with substitutions. The only food that came out correct was the breakfast. My son got chicken tenders with a substitution of broccoli and mashed potatoes, he was starving after not eating all morning after graduating as valedictorian. Only the chicken tenders and fries came, and were sent back. They then came back with just mashed potatoes. The graduates mother ordered a club sandwich, and being allergic to tomatoes and avocados... asked for them to be placed on the side and to have no bacon, due to dietary restrictions. The order was given to her with no bacon, and the avocado and tomatoes on the sandwich. She sent it back, and it then came out 10 minutes later correctly. The service was horrible, our waiter never checked in once. She took our orders 1 hour later, and never checked back. This was disgusting. Service was horrible. Shame on this place. Was a horrible way to celebrate my son's graduation. He was so disappointed. He just kept saying we could've gone to another place, or we could have gone to the one in valley stream. This was absolutely unacceptable, and it should not...
Read moreCame around 745pm on a Sunday night. My sister and I were the only customers and unfortunately, we were served by someone's lazy younger brother who needed a job. We both ordered green tea with lemon and honey. He came back with a pot of hot water, two cups, and two different teas. It was obvious because the bags were different colors, so before he darted off I pointed it out so he could bring the right one. I asked if we could get spoons and saucers for the cups. He came back with the right tea, lemon, and honey. I asked about saucers and spoons, and he had no idea what saucers I was speaking of. He actually brought a little bowl that the creamers come in and asked if that's what I meant. He did finally come back with saucers, but no spoons. We asked again for utensils and he did come back with the utensil packets... but no spoons. Finally, my sis just went to the front counter and got plastic spoons. We'd ordered the same dinner as well, salmon, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. While waiting, a small Spanish group came in, acquainted with the hostess. Needless to say, they seem to be attended to with a lot less lackadaisical attitude than we were getting from this young man. I honestly wanted to walk out, but food came and I know sis was hungry. I truly felt like an...
