Monte Grab & Go Market — Restaurant in New York

I made an order through Grubhub and when I received my order my sandwich was missing bacon, so I contacted Grubhub first let them know and their automated message told me I have to wait until the restaurant marks the order delivered so I then proceed to call Monte Grab and explain to them what the problem was and that I had items missing from my sandwich that I paid for. If I order a bacon egg and cheese, why would you send me a egg and cheese sandwich and then the receipt even says BACON, the guy on the phone said he would send me a new sandwich or a side of bacon to add so I agreed to the sandwich. Over an hour passes by and I call them back (the egg and cheese sandwich is already cold) when I call them never respond, I wait 30 mins and call back and the guy that answered acted like he had no idea what I was talking about until I called him a scammer! He becomes irate and says that the guy tried calling me to deliver the remade sandwich and that my phone was disconnected and hangs up so I called back a few times and another guy answers and I explain to him what happened, then he says that the guy left the food outside I then go outside to find a side of bacon wrapped in a bag hanging off a dirty fence pretty much on the ground and I call back and this girl picked up which was the first professional person I spoke to, and I explained to her that this was definitely on purpose then she told me that Grubhub refunded me and that whole time instead of them just telling me that I was refunded they were working me up being extremely rude and still sent the bacon, I bet my life that they did something to that food because why not just tell me I was refunded? Instead they sent the bacon and on top of that argued with me purposely for almost two hours, this place is a hazard, a cancer this place has no business in...

OVER-PRICED‼😤

ALL I WANTED WAS A HOT SANDWICH AND 1/2 SALAD OR SOUP. And didn't expect to pay ALMOST $25 FOR MY MEAL.

I bought a reuben sandwich. The sandwich was perfectly delicious, BUT I'm from Brooklyn. This Grab-and-Go is in the Bronx near my job. I'm used to getting sandwiches like this as a platter with either onion rings or french fries and a wedge of pickle on the side in the platter or Toothpicked on top the sandwich For Garnishing FOR THE SAME PRICE OF $8.60 (taxes included), which is what I PAID FOR JUST THEIR SANDWICH. Instead I was additionally charged $1.25 for the wedge of pickle.🙄

But even this wasn't my biggest gripe. My problem was the price of the salad. At full size okay, they can ask a price of $10 tops, but but the Grab & Go salad price was almost $13 each container because it's priced by weight‼ C'mon if that's going to be your method of pricing sell a 1/2 size for $7‼

But because I like to balance my meal and there was NO SMALLER OPTION. I additionally purchased their overpriced, oversized chicken salad.

Monte Grab & Go Market is really taking advantage of the working class people in the community who have both limited food options and means in THESE PANDEMIC TIMES.

My meal was about $10 outside my budget, but for lack of another food source option and the fact I was HUNGRY, I paid, but I am but no means happy or satisfied and I will NEVER recommend for anyone...

This is the Absolute worst place in this area that you can get food from, I’ve lived here for 15 years and nothing comes close to how bad this place is, I ordered an omelette for pick up and when I get there 2 “cooks” we’re making it for me super sweaty rude and the worst part is that they burned the omelette then have the AUDACITY to charge me 11 dollars for it and tax me! I also order fruit salad for the kids and it tasted old. How dare these people be so close to hospitals and police precincts and treat them better then everyone els. I’ve had an issue before with the Mexican guy that makes people sandwiches at night because he doesn’t follow instructions and put mayo on my sandwich one time and when I complained he just scraped it off and didn’t think I’d notice, I stopped coming here for a while and it’s safe to say it’s wayyyyy worse then before I will never step foot in there and I’ll be just fine, apple produce just a block away is safe to eat from and I don’t mind giving them my money.
