"Inhumane" This place is not even worth a star rating. When my grandmother arrived there a week ago, we knew the quality of staff was subpar but our entirely family were tag-teaming to be by her side to ensure her proper care so we dealt with their incompetence. As it became clear that her time was limited, we decided comfort care was the most appropriate given her health situation. We reminded each and every staff everyday to make sure to call the family right away if anything were to happen. Also requested multiple times to give us a separate room for privacy. Sadly, my grandmother passed yesterday, we were informed via phone of her passing at 6:30am. We rushed to the nursing to realize that they moved her body already without notifying us and none of the staff or nurse was able to bring us to see her. We were told to go look for the nurse supervisor on duty and when asked to bring us to our grandmother, she was busy scheduling the change of shift and kept saying "i don't know, i was not here during the night shift" and made us wait 1/2 hr. The chaotic sequence of events compounded by the lack of sensitivity from this nurse supervisor was astounding. Not only did she not show any signs of sympathy, she kept making excuses. THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF COMMUNICATION. As it turns out, my grandmother actually passed late at night around 2:30am and they moved her body without informing us. VNS later advised us it was illegal. The staff there does not know how to communicate to each nor to the families. The worst of all and most unimaginable thing happened when the nurse supervisor took us to another floor and opened the door to a laundry storage room to show us our grandmother on a stretcher in a bag. I was in SHOCK! How she could ever find that appropriate is beyond belief. i was so disgusted with her lack of professionalism or simply the lack of sensitivity chip in her brain. Having to chase to find out where your loved one's body after she passed is unacceptable. My father had to witness his mother's body in a storage room. This place is despicable and should not be operating. The nurse supervisor still didn't say sorry was reluctant to give us an empty room even though they were so many empty rooms. We had to push her to give us a room so we can say our proper goodbye before the funeral home came. The whole time she was more concerned about closing the doors of the other resident and not addressing the passing of an patient and her grieving family. They shouldn't be in business. period. DISGUSTED. PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR FAMILY. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE OR MOVE YOUR LOVED ONE'S OUT NOW. DEMAND...
Read moreFor those of you that want behind the scenes of this area. Do not bring your loved one here. Trust me. Poor staffing service. Terrible smell to the units.
As for the Google review response from the administrator Joseph. Let me go into detail about my experience with this facility.
First of all, on the unit there is one nurse to almost 50 patients. One of the patient's was left in a mess. Food all over him from dinner that was given to him even on the floor.
Second of all, Joseph reached out to me for a job offer viathe phone and asked me to come in for an interview. I specifically explained to him that I have a temporary LPN license and he said that would not be a problem. I went in for the interview and spoke to him in person who advised me the days I'd be working and the rate I'd be working at. Then I met with Anmol who is the administrator assistant and gave her ALL of my paperwork except my driver's license and physical. I explained to her as well that same day that I have a temp LPN license. She said she'd get back to me that afternoon. I got home and around 5:30PM I received a call from Anmol (I was able to get the transcription from this conversation from my mobile carrier) who stated that my orientation would start the following Tuesday. I came in for orientation on Tuesday at 6:50am to start at 7am. No administrator was on sight so the front desk sent me to floor 2 to work with one of the nurses. I worked until 10AM and was asked to go see Anmol. I sit in her office where she explains to me that I cannot start orientation because the HR individual was going through something personally and couldn't come into work that day. I asked if I could get paid for the hours I worked that day and she said she would MAKE sure I was paid for the hours I worked. She gave me a missed punch form to fill out. I emailed her a few days later asking when that direct deposit would show in my account and she said the following Thursday. In the meantime I waited for a response on my position and until I messaged Joseph who told me I couldn't work there I had no idea and received no updates. That following Thursday came and I received no paycheck. When I inquired I was advised that I was not owed any money. I am not a disgruntled employee. I was just misguided and misinformed every step of the way in this facility. Think twice before applying here for employment and before placing your...
