United Club (C74) — Local services in Newark

This is by far my favorite of the domestic united clubs. It's brand new, sparkling clean, and with a great layout. They finally added a blur glass in the center so we don't have to hear as much from the floor down. The food is now updated and delicious, both breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was there around 8pm, and surprisingly it was quiet despite lots of red-eye flights departing soon, including mine. The lounge itself has lots of seating options and power outlets. Only thing I ask for... really, the only thing, is that we have a planespotting view. Other than that, the seats are comfortable, the drinks section is convenient, and I love the style with united's signature blue but the luxurious cream and black accents that remind me of perhaps a Singapore airlines lounge. Staff are friendly, always helping out. Restrooms are sparkling and constantly cleaned. It's an amazing experience, if you get a pass, USE IT. Incredibly frustrating experience made worse by rude and unhelpful staff. Was not allowed to go in because I didn’t have my “orders.” If they are going to require orders to admit active duty military members they should educate their staff on acceptable documents. A USAF military member on TDY does not get sent orders via email. They would have to print orders from the Defense Travel System (DTS) website. They can’t just “access them through their email,” and certainly can’t do so on a cell phone. It requires a Common Access Card (CAC) and/or a compatible browser. There might be any number of reasons a military member would not have access to the DTS site. However, if the member has a confirmed itinerary from a military booking agency, I don’t see any reason that can’t be accepted. Stopped in the United club in C74 terminal in Newark airport and I must say what a delight . Large and comfortable seating area with many variations of tables and booths and comfy chairs to choose from. They have a large bar with seats and two large areas of food to choose from. We arrived early for our flight so we got to experience the breakfast portion as well as the lunch . Excellent selection and choices with delicious food and something for everyone . They even had a candy section for the kids to enjoy some sweets which was adorable. Nice drink section with soft drinks coffee and other drinks to choose from.
