Surf Bar Oases — Restaurant in Newark

Might have been a bad night. I sat down with 40-minutes until my flight boarding time. Used the screen and ordered a beer and fish sandwich. There were three people behind the bar and open seats. It took 10-minutes to get my beer. No ‘hello’ offered. When I asked for water, there was no verbal response, but a glass was brought. After 15 more minutes, so 25-minutes after ordering food at an airport restaurant, I asked about my food. There was no verbal, ‘Sorry let me check on that’ or anything. 5-more minutes I checked in on my original checking in. 10-minutes later my cold fried fish sandwich showed up at the same time that a guy’s burger showed up who had ordered 10-minutes previously. Again, no ‘I’m sorry’. No ‘enjoy the sandwich’. Just the worst service and cold ‘hot’ food. Steer clear...

Don't eat here. They have a big sign advertising bagel sandwiches, so I ordered one through the online system. They brought me a dry, bland breakfast sandwich that featured wonder bread instead of a bagel. I pointed out that the order was wrong, and the employee just shrugged and said there were no bagels. Had I known this I would have taken my business elsewhere. They didn't offer an exchange, a refund, or even an apology, and acted upset that I had pointed out the mistake. Hands down one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The place was empty, but after a laborious nonuser friendly computer ordering system, it took 38 minutes for a drink and dry bagel to be delivered (in the airport). I had to get up and search for a person. When I found the only server, she was extremely angry and mean. She refused to give me her name (long dark hair with glasses about 30ish). I saw her pick and chose which arriving customers she would help. When I approached another employee in the main restaurant asking for a manager, she replied there was no manager.
