Better than some reviews said it was. I definitely preferred the salmon and tuna nigiri and the salmon bowl over the tuna roll mainly because it tasted fresher. The one thing about the nigiri I found annoying was that each piece was individually wrapped in plastic. Also, the avocado on the tuna roll was a bit brown. Keep in mind these are not made to order, you pick from the prepackaged items so you are limited to the selection without being able to make any modifications. It’s a bit expensive but it’s sushi at an airport so it’s to be expected. The tuna roll and nigiri plate was $24.99 and the salmon bowl I believe was $18 (the bowl came with pieces of salmon, seaweed salad, edamame, white rice and tobiko.) I personally don’t like tobiko and luckily I was able to find one that didn’t have any but I wouldn’t count on it if I returned. This is definitely a grab and go station and you pay at the self check out so if you’re in a hurry it’s still a god choice. I do hope that in the future they allow customers to order what they want vs having to choose from the items they have in...
Read moreOkay, the gentleman here appears helpful but makes actions towards customers that displays prejudice and bias toward black folks. He shared with me how to get the order for pieces for the box.
However, him following me to the cash register and inspected my order which was completely unacceptable and uncalled for at the time.
Also, the crab roll was hard and disappointing.
I love sushi but never will I eat here again due to his behavior. I can not support anyone who doesn’t see the prejudicial behavior here. Another customer which was white perceiving was not even spoke to by him.
Newark reign your employees and establishments in. LaGuardia is beginning to...
Read moreI eat a lot of sushi. After being in Italy for 14 days sushi-less, this place hit the spot. The rice is a C- at best, but still worth eating. This fish is surprisingly high quality, airport or otherwise. Not sure what the sushi is like around here but coming from the west coast this was good fish. All around decent for airport sushi, I'd get it again. I got the 12 piece box and it filled me up. I'd lean heavier into the nigiri over the rolls, the salmon is the best. Bonus points for not having to talk to anyone, no line, and...
