I 100% regret my decision to go to the Etters TCC store to resolve my phone issue with Brian K. I went in due to my phone screen becoming disable. After a quick lookover it was determined that my phone could not be fixed by the associate and he recommended getting a new phone. I was interested in a Samsung Galaxy 24 or Google Pixel. The Pixel was out of stock so he pushed me towards the Galaxy. At this point I should've left and went to an actual Verizon store. I agreed to go through with the upgrade which has been an absolute nightmare. I did not want anything on my plan changed however he changed multiple aspects without my knowledge. I've had to call Verizon 4 days in a row spending multiple hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. He removed a necessary hotspot from one line that wasn't being upgraded, he downgrade the plan on another line which has caused the previous device trade credit to go from $800 to $100, the grandfathered free Disney+ bundle was removed, and my line's service was downgraded. I was never informed that all of these changes were going to occur only to sign for my upgrade. I was also told that in order to get a higher trade-in credit I had to purchase insurance and keep it for 6 months (Verizon has stated this is 100% false). Near the end of completing my upgrade he went onto Google and pressured me to leave a 5-star review for the TCC Etters store. I assume the pressure to add a review immediately has skewed the Google rating for this establishment resulting in it being so high (4.8 stars). On top of all of it my device credit would've been $600 more directly through Verizon vs the $200 at TCC. If you are going to use this authorized dealer be aware that it will be nothing but a terrible experience.
Also, I have called the TCC customer service line multiple times and submitted a ticket through there website. I have yet to hear from someone to discuss my in-store experience. I also called the local store the day of my upgrade to ask a question and never received...
Read moreWhoever I bought my phones from was nice. That’s about it. Upgraded 2 iPhones. He sold me on a plan that would cut the cost of my monthly bill drastically. Against my better judgement I took his advice. My bill is wayyyy higher than he told me it would be. My first bill had an up charge for a “activation fee” which I was never told about. Thankfully, Verizon (NOT TCC) voided the charge. After calling Verizon again to see why my bill is so high I came to find out I had been paying for extra hotspot and international calling (which I never authorized). When I upgraded phones I had asked if I could pay off the phones early and the guy at TCC said yes but he told me “Verizon is being nice enough to pay most of the cost of the phones, give them 3 years to pay it off.” NEVER once did he say that it was stated in the contract I HAD to wait the 3 years. I asked Verizon if I could pay off the phones and lower my plan (the highest plan gives the best phone discount) but they said if I pay off early I would have to pay the ENTIRE cost of the phone, which is contrary to what the TCC associate told me.
All in all, I’ve been lied to multiple times and will NEVER go back to this location again. I will make the hour drive to the Hanover location where they have ALWAYS...
Read moreI was in last week on June 12 to buy an iphone 16se. The guy working at the time mentioned that there was an any device any condition promotion that would allow me to trade in my current phone for a iphone 16 pro at no extra cost than the SE. He assured me I would owe nothing but the taxes and it was an even trade. Today I receive a notification from Verizon that I still owe $1000 on my new phone… that I was told was an even trade in. After contacting verizon customer service I find out that I was never eligible for this promotion at all and that to receive the promotion I would need to upgrade my lines to unlimited plans. I’m not even mad that I have to pay for the phone as I came to the store to buy an SE anyway, i’m mad that I was blatantly lied to and specifically told I was eligible for this promotion...
