Maple Donuts — Restaurant in Newberry Township

Horrible service. They’re always out of most donuts no matter when I go in. But the worst experience I had was tonight. I went at 10 knowing there wasn’t much, but they have a few things I like. I asked for a half dozen, didn’t specify what yet. Got told by the neckbeard dudebro working that I’d get a random selection. I know they’ve been doing that after 10:30 with their cheap dozen sale, but it was before 10:30, and it wasn’t a half dozen. So I asked why and got told, “because it’s after 10, sweetie, we’re sold out of most donuts.” Not only is it extremely condescending and inappropriate for a man to call a woman he doesn’t know “sweetie”, but maybe they shouldn’t be open 24 hours if they’re constantly out of product. I honestly should have stopped visiting this chain store after they openly announced being trump supporters, but they have nothing to offer other than misogyny, poor service,...

As you drive on I 83 north bound you see this billboard that tells you about this establishment. The donuts look good so I decided to finally stop in. There is a large selection of donuts to choose from, including both cake and yeast donuts. The shells are fried at a location in York and they are all filled and decorated at this location. But I think I counted at least 25 different types to choose from. I had the traditional glazed donut, the chocolate cake, and the pumpkin spiced donut. The glazed donut was fantastic Light and fluffy, not greasy at all. The chocolate donut was really good. And the pumpkin donut was ok. Kind of dry. I got a container of milk to go with it which is perfect. For three donuts and a milk I paid four dollars and change. The staff was very friendly and patient with a first timer like myself. First, she filled the cup to the brim Put six hazelnut flavorings in.., When I told her no, I wanted just the hazelnut creamer, she looked befuddled, she then dumped a little bit out, Pored in 2 hazelnut creamer’s and realized they had no more so I said, do you have French vanilla, she said yes, and proceeded to put the French vanilla in with hazelnut…
