Liggett's Flooring Inc — Local services in Newport

I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but feel compelled after my recent experience in doing business with Liggett’s Flooring.My wife and I have a second home in Glenn Eden Beach, Ore. We decided to install LVP flooring and new carpet. Several people we knew had highly recommended Leggitt’s. We went in and contacted Kathy and a great customer service experience began. She was so helpful, patient and knowledgeable of the products they sell. She provided us with samples and spent a great deal of time with us throughout the entire process. A day later, Larry Leggitt met us at the house measured and awnsered all of are questions about the installation process and in about a day, we were provided a detailed bid. We decided to have them due the work and were not present during the scheduled installation process. We were kept informed during the entire istallation and Larry provided videos of the installation process. My wife and I could not be happier, after seeing the finished product.The craftsmanship can only be described as excellent. Larry and Kathy did exactly what the said the were going to do, exactly when the said the were going to do it!!. I had the most bizarre and infuriating experience with the front desk lady at Liggett’s. We are beginning an extensive remodel and came in to look at carpet, lvp, and countertops. At first she was nice and friendly and then she started to get frustrated and annoyed with all my questions and called me a “shopper” and told me they don’t get a lot of customers like me. I told her I didn’t understand her meaning and she mentioned something about shopping on a budget. I then asked her “you’re saying your customers don’t have budgets?” And she said yes, that’s exactly what she meant and they don’t usually get customers who have a budget. I literally had no words. I’m happy to take my business elsewhere after being treated like my project or my “budget” were below them. By the way, she never asked me what my budget was and the only time I mentioned a budget was when I was saying that budget will determine whether we use a quartz or soapstone countertop. We are repeat customers of Liggett’s flooring Inc. The first job they installed quartz counter tops, a large farm sink, and a glass subway tile backsplash in out kitchen. The installers were excellent. They did a professional job from start to finish. The second job they replaced the master bath floor. This too was an excellent job. The installers had to do some repairs on the sub floor and now we have a safe, sound, and beautiful bathroom that will last for years. Larry and Kathy Liggett handled all of the details from start to finish. These folks are the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and I recommend them to anyone in the area that needs some remodeling done.
