Erik was beyond rude! He and I were the only people in the store and he called out “Todd? Todd? Oh, I guess you aren’t Todd.” I said, “No, I’m Lynn.” He asked me if I had signed in and what name I had used. I told him “Lynn.” Then I approached the counter. He began shrieking, “No, no stay back! I’ll need a minute here.” He did something on his computer and then called out, “Lynn? Lynn? You are Lynn? Come on over.” I moved to the counter and began to explain the problems I had experienced with Spectrum. He interrupted me shortly and motioned with his hands telling me to “Get back, I need you to step back always.” I told him he was being ridiculous as we both had on masks and he had a plexiglass partition. He then grabbed the wires from the box I had planned on exchanging for a DVR and put them into a cabinet. He told me I had to leave the store and he refused to wait on me, threatening to call the police if I didn’t leave. I asked him to return the wires but he refused. I went outside and called Spectrum customer service. During the call, he kept smiling and waving at me and, at one point, stuck his tongue out at me! His partner, Giovanni, also refused to help me or give me his full name. All this was documented by Spectrum customer service who witnessed some of the conversations. Read moreThe internet service is great. I rarely have problems with speed or connectivity and we have many t.v.'s and phones hooked up at once. I originally was told the price would be 17.99 a month plus 5.00 for wifi but then the tech talked me into getting a land-line for 30 days for free and then would be 9.99 a month if we decided to keep it. I ended up having the service for about 4 months even though I never even hooked a phone up to it. I finally got around to calling and canceling it and was on hold for about 30 minutes only to have the rep ask me what I needed and then said she would transfer me. I then waited an additional 30 minutes and then another 20 minutes talking with the rep. In the end I wasted almost 2 hours of my day only to be told that if I cancel the unnecessary phone line that my bill would go up to 45.00 a month. She said that my service was a part of a promotion and that I have to keep the phone line or pay more. This ihowever is untrue. I know because I still have the original flyer. If you call Spectrum, get a technician, and they can’t reset your modem - which is just a matter of unplug modem and router, wait 15 seconds, plug back in - you’re in for a long wait for streaming TV or getting online. They don’t have enough technicians working between Coos Bay and Newport. And there is no way to reach the actual regional technicians. It’s a closed door system. If you’re working at home GOOD LUCK!!! Real bummer! NOT ENOUGH HELP - and my modem IS NOT WORKING. It’s been going out over last 3 days. Weekend beach house - so not even used much. Bad equipment!!
