Navy Inn Bldg 1688 — Local services in Newport

This military lodging is located the Newport Naval Station, and is byfar the best stay I've ever enjoyed at any military lodging. We was fortunate to get two nights while we was visiting the Rhode Island and Massachusetts area this past weekend. There is a huge parking lot on site, and they can accommodate small and large vehicles.

The hotel has elevators and is completely handicapped accessible. This hotel has all the accommodations of other hotels. The rooms were very nice and extremely comfortable. Their wifi was very fast and reliable, which was great for doing any work.

I'm absolutely 💯 percent sure that we will return for another...

We just stayed in Bld 1688 last week, Oct 7 & 8 2025. Our stay was amazing. This is beautiful building. When you walk in the entrance... is grand, spotless & shines. The front desk personal were great, very friendly, just what you would expect from a front desk team. Our room was also very nice, had everything. We had a nice view of the bay being on one of the upper floors. Nice decor in the rooms and hall ways. (the Inn doesn't have the continental breakfast, so once we checked in we went to the commissary to get a few items for breakfast & that worked out well too) We loved our stay here & would...

This place is obviously understaffed with housekeepers and they’ve definitely passed that unfortunate experience on to the customers. They could not meet their obligations and clean my room with any consistency without me complaining to the front deck that my towels need replacing, trash is overflowing, and my linens haven’t been changed in four days.
