6 highly professional adults booked 7304 Pacific Coast Highway 97394 "The Oregon Beach House" for 4 nights 9/04-9/08.
My caution to you, the traveler, guest and consumer:
public beach access pathway on property within 4ft of downstairs bedroom. No mention in description; path was in use and busy all day, each day and in the evenings with several people walking by. Total lack of privacy in the outdoor/back yard/hot tub/firepit area.
The house is 20 ft from PCH highway. heard noise from highway throughout; no mention in the description.
Check-out time of 10:30am is just rude and a very rigid check-out list. If the cleaners really did not so much time to clean, perhaps they could have checked the vents above the range, which had not been cleaned in months with thick grease build up. I scrubbed it upon arrival.
Plumbing issue throughout. Several toilettes nearly became blocked and we had to plunge.
hot water took several minutes in the shower and very little water pressure. Also, jacuzzi baths cannot be used with jets. So, a soak in a very large tub bath - no jets.
Hot tub: extremely cheap model. A display which is was very low tech and was not legible. The first 2 days we could not heat the hot tub and it would not remain hot until day 3 of a 4 day stay. Had to call Brent Peterson several times to walk us through the instructions and each time Brent needed a photo of the display which was quite inconvenient since we weren't in the hot tub. "ready" mode and having to press old buttons of "light" and "temp" to reset the heater was inexcusable for a place charging ~$1200 per night. Brent also suggested too many were in the hot tub (3?!!) and perhaps it was too windy (?!?!?) He claimed it would take his technician 2-hours from Lincoln City (which is actually 54 miles, not 2-hours)
Grill in the garage! one burner was out. The automatic lighter was out of fluid. We used a regular lighter which singed the eyebrows of guest lighting the grill. Also a cheap model.
Linens on beds: cheap, no duvets, thin bedspreads on the OR coast? scratchy sheets.
Kitchen was stocked with low-quality items - 50 knives all of which needed sharpening; no Saran, foil, or baggies and a fine if seafood is cooked?! at the OR coast?!!! Ice makers in both fridges failed to produce ice. We had to shop for ice.
Plastic plants throughout house - for $1200 per night?!
Hole in the ceiling of the bunk room - plumbing issues from previous guests.
Treatment of "Guests" - we were treated like rental tenants, not guests who paid a premium to stay on beachfront property. We were harassed with multiple emails and texts from 3 different people regarding noise and a fire. We were asked to stop our "party". We were 6 highly professional adults on a much needed break who paid $6,700 for 4 nights. We wanted to cook, play music and dance. We were treated like irresponsible school children at boot camp and threats were made to leave the property!! Polly needs a course in customer service if this company aims to survive. She's insolent toward her guests when you start asking her questions.
6 people in an 8 bedroom home indicate the level of quality we sought.
Oceanfront Properties is a property management company that should not pose as a hospitality service. RUDE, Disrespectful, unprofessional, harassing and unabashedly greedy with fees ($25 if you leave an item behind and would like to reclaim it)
A FINE if seafood is cooked!
They're not interested in the comfort or happiness of the guest.
This is not a luxury property in the least.
Experienced, savvy and international travelers be warned. You'd rather stay in a motel room than pay Oceanfront Properties any of your hard-earned money.
Too add, it seems since I posted this verified stay @ The Or. Beach house 9/4 - 8, this company has had 11 past guests/friends post shinning reviews w/o any verified dates and properties. The purpose of reviews is to have a fair & balanced platform, which Oceanfront Prop. surely has...

This is not a home to stay if you're looking for a little more privacy and luxury over a 4-7 day stay. This house is about 20' from PCH and traffic is heard at night in all the back bedrooms. The house is a thoroughfare all day with people who want to access the beach.
The house is not stocked well at all for a luxury property. Shortage of simple things like foil or saran wrap. Not to mention DULL knives throughout, which is frustrating when cooking in for every meal each day.
Jacuzzi needs some serious upgrading as it is a bad design which makes it hard to operate. We shouldn't have to call the property management a few times to figure it out while were vacationing.
Water takes a long time to warm up in the showers and baths - clearly a plumbing problem since we could not use the jets in the tubs in any of the bathrooms.
The place needs warmer, cozier bed covers. We were there in the summer I can't imagine what it would be like in the winter.
Oh, and the outside grill has a burner out. Not good when you're not allowed to cook seafood in the house and you need another place to cook fish or shellfish ~ Oceanfront property, beach, getaway, no cooking seafood in the house, you...
I stayed as a part of a large group of diverse women having a retreat. I could not have been more pleased.
The house was beautiful and well decorated to accentuate the beautiful beach views. There was plenty of room to gather and plenty of space to do your own thing. Big bright clean bathrooms with tons of thick fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. The beds were very comfortable and extra bedding was easily accessible or quickly provided. The kitchen was used to produce freshly prepared meals for 25 people the entire week end with room in the giant fridge for all that plus a beverage fridge stocked with everyone’s favorites. The large deep sink and dishwasher kept up easily and the huge counters provided space for ten women learning to make gnocchi all at once.
The entire experience went very well despite a ton of logistics and I cannot wait to visit again when it...
