I would not recommend Joes Jewelry for repairs on your nicer pieces. Read the great reviews and took my wedding set in for broken prong repair. Our usual jeweler in Atlanta charges $35 for this fix, Joe charged $70... but what the heck, let's keep it local and maybe even save some time by not having to drive or ship.
Two weeks later we go to pick up, sloppy job on ALL the prongs and gold on the face of the diamond. I was told this is normal. I asked for it to be remedied to the original look. Response, "I'll grind it down but don't come running to me when everything falls out." Asked for a refund and was given one.
When taken to a proper jeweler, it was shown to me that Joe's Jewelry "repaired" my ring so badly, the prongs were weak enough to be moved with fingernail pressure. The piece was also not cleaned before "repair" and my diamonds and setting were burned.
