Vary disappointed with Bloomington Illinois, Goodwill. I went in there last Thursday May 23rd 2024. Nobody at all inside. EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING was way over priced. They'd onto even take time to price any item.. EVERYTHING was $5.99 for used clothing, free used clothing. Then everything on each rack was $5.99 and above. Nothing for $1. Nothing in hardware like old used candles. $6 to $8 for candles that has Ben half burned. You couldn't find not one thing in that store for a dollar or .50 cents. Right across the street is wal mart you can buy brand new tanks for $3 and under. Leggings at Walmart $2.00 not faded,or used. It's like the manager just marked everything in the store for $5.99 and all the way up to $30 for clothing in the middle of the store and whatever they got going on in the front of the store, like you're walking in a department store with new clothing and it's not. This is hand outsOutrageous prices from the giving. The needy can't even buy used bras for $8 to $10 . They have went silly on pricing. I've never seen it so empty, ever. Usually you have to wait forever in line to check out. We'll there was nobody checking out. I left with nothing. Re- think your outrageous prices. Every threshold shoo goes from .25 cents - $4.00 nobody is gonna ay $8 or more for anything there. I`m not trying to be rude. But you've taken the fun out of it. Plus I don't see you selling anything at all or fast. It's just sad I'm serious, I went from tank tops to dresses, work paints, pjs... most were $12- $30...crazy. Every cup or drinking glass was $7 and above... crazy. So, it's sad but, I wouldn't waste your time going all the way out there . It's a waste of time and it will disappoint you. Better off going to Walmart or to...
Read moreWell the employees are always very nice and friendly and seem to be working hard but none of the clothes is sorted or organized well at all the adult stuff is sorted by size but that is it you can have tank tops to sweaters in every color fumbled together then stuffed so tight you can’t even move them to look and the kids clothes is beyond horrible newborn -5tall mushed horribly together then 6-16 all shoved together it is absolutely horrible it takes hours to look through just to see if they have something in your kids size . I have been to many thrift stores and goodwills this is the only one like this with no regard for kids sizes being even semi organized and then the prices well they keep getting higher and higher last time I was there they had used silver jeans for 25$. u can still find some good stuff sometimes but even then when u do a lot of times u will get home only to realize you missed something wrong with it a stain or whathave u they really need to come back down to earth with there pricing these are items donated for free if you are going to charge so much for used items at least clean and organize the place nicely esspically considering very little ie 1% if any of the money actually goes to help anyone. I just really wish they would organize the place better esspically kids stuff you are better off going to garage sales or other thrift stores for kids stuff esspically you might find some things if you have a couple hours...
Read moreI will not be using this facility anymore. On Saturday around 1:00 we tried to donate some small collectible items and there was a line. We were waiting patiently when we noticed a few cars in front of us start pulling out of the line and leaving. The car in front of us was an old lady she pulled up and in a short time we realized the holdup was a large van that was pretty much full from top to bottom and the staff were taking their time unloading it. The old lady got out of her car and went and back to get two items to donate. The guy who appeared to be in charge started screaming at her telling her to get back in her car that they only do it in one vehicle at a time. That was too much for me. The old lady who was just standing there Frozen not understanding what the problem was, we pulled around to leave and I could hear the guy still yelling. He wasn't doing this etc etc etc. The truck behind us pulled up next to the bins and started throwing stuff in the bins. We left and so did several other vehicles behind us. We're in the process of a remodel and we're going to be donating couple items, but I guess they will go to other places...
