A & S Comics & Cards — Local services in North Bergen

This is a great, local comic shop to visit. Small and intimate, if you're someone who comes in for the regular new comic Wednesday, you'll be remembered quickly. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by name by Chris and Kevin, who run the shop. Both are very knowledgeable about their comics and merchandise. I've read that they overcharge for comics. That's silly, they charge what is on the cover. Some people may be referring to specific special comics, where the value is supposed to be more than the original price as they were Limited Edition covers, a more sought after back issue, etc. Those actually into comics understand. They have all the new stuff you're looking for, as well as a pretty large selection of toys and collectibles. Kevin can sometimes accommodate comic requests (within reason, no asking for Detective Comics No. 27), he's made sure I've received some back issues that were tough to track down, as well as a series that wasn't carried prior to. Chris is on top of all things collectibles, and we often have conversations about new Pops, statues and action figures on the way. Both are very approachable and helpful, as well as friendly if you spend time enough to have conversations (like I do far too often). They do pull-lists and can even accommodate to the specific cover you're looking for if they have it and you let them know. Couldn't recommend...

A&S Comics offers a friendly, professional and diverse comic book store. Tony, Alex and Dan are truly a class act, and are highly informed about the comic book industry. I found this shop after not collecting books for 20 years and I’ve managed to cultivate a new love for the hobby, much in part because of the guys at A&S. They always go out if their way to meet any personal request or accommodate a special interest. Clearly, A&S is operating under long standing, high quality character values. They consider customer service in every aspect of the shopping experience, offering their valuable time and expertise to all, from new comers to old timers.

The guys at A&S are honest and never use shady practices like up charging on new books based on spec, selling your pull book if it’s hot that week, or checking on eBay before selling a back issue. They offer a great repertoire of new books and quality back issues that are both relevant fairly priced. Great dollar bins too!

You can’t go wrong with A$S. Best comic book store around with top quality ownership and industry experts. I definitely recommend them for your comic book needs....

When I walked into the shop I was greeted by the cashier. The person was super friendly and told me about the layout of the shop. There are a lot of comics in the back of the store that could easily take an hour or two to go through. But there is more comic books on the wall and one thing I noticed is moving them over is a good idea. There are more comic books behind them so make sure not to miss out.

I was there for comic books but they do have a large selection of Funko pops and other figures. They are all pretty reasonably priced and affordable for most people. But if your here for comic books, if you have at least $5 in your pocket, I am sure you will...
