Rico Rico Restaurant — Restaurant in North Bergen

The prices have really gone bonkers… I’ve been coming here since I was in high school, always loved the food. Lately, it’s still good, but something seems off… can’t exactly put my finger on it. Maybe it could be the price. Also, I wasn’t aware they did delivery, or had a website. I’m not sure how other people “discover” restaurants, but it used to be people would introduce you to their favorite place. It always appeared a closed network. From some recent reviews, it no longer appears to be the case. While I’m certain the business is appreciated, it does take away the exclusiveness. As the recent patrons seem like casuals. Generalists if you will, not specializing in this specific niche. While I still love the food, it’s pricing does make one think harshly about making the trip. It’s also been so long since I’ve tried anything other than my go to. But again, it kinda goes back to pricing. If desert is a significant fraction of what a meal costs, I think I’ll pass, thanks. Maybe I’m being too hard on them…perhaps I’m questioning the service, and other expenses, which go into the running of a restaurant. I mean…aren’t profit margins not great for restaurants…after the inventory, labor, and rent; location’s pretty good in this case. Hmm… One more thing, other niches don’t seem to be doing as good. Growing up in the county/state(Hudson/NJ) I’ve seen so many Peruvian restaurants come and go. Many come with warm memories of dining in with family and friends. In the past few years, it was pretty much between this place, and another. And the other used to be my preferred, but of course at this moment it seems to not be up to par, unfortunately. Staff would change about every quarter, and the owner; who was always there, didn’t seem to be there anymore. Word was he sold it, uncertain rumors? With it’s seemingly shoestring budget lately? Well, at least this one’s still breathing. But the choice of where to eat seems hindered. Where now, only this place seems to come up. While personally, I know more places, they’re far; occasionally regions. I doubt regulars would want to travel; especially regionally. I can only hope other relatively local places start being up to par again. I liked the options, but understand I guess. One can only wait and see how things go. Hopefully things improve....

La comida me pareció un poco subida de sal los frijoles y pollo pero asequible de comer .

Siento decir esto pero La atención en la mesa fue en mi punto de vista horrible porque pedí el menú y no te ponen un vaso de agua ni de hielo tuve que preguntar por ello porque lo más inadecuado que no preguntaron si deseaba beber algo después de pedir la comida en fin he ido a otros restaurantes peruano pero si hay mejores y con muy espectacular atención La chica sentada en el mostrador del cajero la entiendo que debe estar ahí porque no hay más meseros pero no hizo su trabajo buen en el servicio no pregunta si necesitas algo más o recogen la mesas en fin más parece un comedor obrero que un restaurante para desconectar fue día entre semana no se el fun de semana como seria esta localizado en North bergen pero el dueño o el manager me pareció muy amable.

El lugar vacío creo que si te sientas en una mesa es para tener servicio adecuado Quizás en comida para delivered es mejor Pero nunca había visto un restaurantes tan vacío en mi vida también puede ser por lo de la Pandemia apenas estaba en apertura El Caso que si hay costumes potencialmente hablando para gastar su dinero ahí no creo que regresen Otro detalle en el delivered si piden algo digan que por favor le lleven cubiertos y servilleta porque a mi no me trajeron esa fue mi impresión de primera que tuve antes de visitar el lugar pero para ser honesta la comida estaba deliciosa en ese momento por eso no puedo entender que paso porque al parecer cocinan muy bien creo que no comí frijoles era papa frita y arroz Anyway me duele calificar así pero es mi opinión y lo más raro es ver un viernes un restaurantes tan vacío en la Noche saquen sus conclusiones cuando vayan Eso si muy limpio el lugar y con sus medidas de Sanidad bien y protección pueden ir pero sentado en la mesa no creo mejor pedir en línea 😉 Quizás de pronto cambien de táctica y mejoren en el servicio al cliente es importante contratar a personas que no te maten el negocio sino que lo hagan crecer con la atención requerida y calidad quizás mejoren en la atención al cliente cuando la apertura sea mejor . Otra cosa deben darle un espacio y tiempo al personal para que coman en un lugar que no sea en el mostrador del cajero no es nada aparentemente pero si desean ser un restaurante con mejor estilo es un pequeño detalle muy importante sin importar si es un negocio pequeño o no sea un Restaurante sostificado o NO lo sea es solo una impresión La imagen es todo porque el anfitrión para atraer el costumers es la mesera o si hay alguien que pueda sentarlos antes.

Aunque si la chica está sola y no hubo nadie que la remplasara atiende llamadas y bueno solo había tres costumes sentados en la mesa es lógico que no tenga tiempo para cenar como es debido pero eso no justifica que pregunte adecuadamente sobre otro servicio que desea el cliente.

En conclusión: el menú es variado y la comida es aceptable solo fue los frijoles subidos un poquito de sal pero no es el peso para decidirme en esta calificación fue más bien la atención en la mesa que doy esa calificación por lo...

Horrible phone service. The older woman who answered the phone when I called for lunch specials could care less about the customer. I asked for what was on the menu and she behaved as if I were bothering her. I haven't eaten there and today would have been the day but after dealing with her I'll never go. I don't understand how someone with an attitude like that can be allowed to work there, especially in the restaurant business.
