Los Andes Bakery — Restaurant in North Bergen

I'm not sure what the hype is about this place. The decor seemed old and abused (perhaps "charming and nostalgic" for other ppl) while people around me were either tourists or loud Russian people (they were speaking Russian and very loud--not trying to be racist here :) ). The service was awfully slow.

I ordered a cafe au lait, which came out to $8 - kind of expensive even for NYC no? For food, I ordered the egg white omelette with mushrooms and spinach topped with a slice of provolone or mozzarella cheese, which was decent but I expected the cheese to be mixed in with the omelette not placed on top of the omelette unmelted, while my friend ordered a fruit plate. We also had a side of the raspberry Danish which was pretty good. The caviar for the brunch menu (not the caviar menu) really only meant salmon roe, not my fave, so I didn't order anything...

I entered this bakery around 2pm to 2:15pm today. Upon entering there wasn't ANY customers. I walked up to the counter, I said hello, and the young female attendant looked at me and then put her head back down never greeted me and never took my order. She was “counting money” and was pretending to still count money while IGNORING me for about 10minutes. This is probably the reason this place was empty. I really would like to know if there is an owner to this restaurant because I never see anyone watching these employees. I was so disgusted with this lack of service that after 10minutes I grabbed my stuff and left. She had 10minutes to change my mind about this place and never did. I am disgusted this behavior it’s...
