Brandy Melville - Maryland — Local services in North Bethesda

i was SO excited to go to brandy melville after hearing there was one close to me. i looked online and saw everything and was very happy to go and get maryland specific merch. all the workers immediately greeted me and were so nice and welcoming. however, this one worker in particular personally victimized me. i had known her previously and i thought there was nothing wrong and we were good. i’m assuming she just cant separate work from personal life. i had asked if there were any variations in sizing as some oversized t-shirts on the website come in different lengths (sizes). she got very heated and rudely told me brandy carried only one size as “one size fits all” and that if i can’t fit then that’s a “me issue”. i was frustrated because i was just wondering about lengths. and to add on top there WERE 2 different maryland oversized tshirts that were both gray and DIFFERENT lengths. she acted like i was wasting her time and personally offending her for asking. i honestly think she is going to dismiss this as “beef” but i have never felt so targeted and unwelcome in a store. i talked to other people and they have experienced similar things. to add on, she was dressed very unprofessionally (ex.she was in sweats and a tank top with holes in it, and her ‘tramp stamp’ tattoo was visible). please fix this issue as i will make sure people are aware that these are the...

I am extremely disappointed in this store. I had a terrible experience here. I was completely ignored the whole time, and when I was walking around I could see the employees point and whisper to each other about me. Looking at the other reviews I know I am not alone in how I feel. One employee in particular who was blonde with terrible veneers gave me multiple dirty looks and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I normally wouldn’t disgrace another woman but truly her teeth were the only noticeable thing about her. Other than that she looked like every other girl. Where is the diversity? Where is the hospitality? Where did human decency go? While I was being rung up she questioned “if this would fit me”, and if I was made aware of the return policy. To which she stated, “You have 2 weeks to return this, or get store credit. So I guess we will be seeing you soon. We don’t accept stretched out returns, though.” Huge slap in the face. Will never be returning ever again. I will be better off going all the way to Georgetown to go to Brandy...

I’ve been at this store multiple times with my boyfriend/friends since it has opened and it’s always been such a horrible experience. I love the clothing but the employees are all so rude and unwelcoming. Every time I’ve been in here I excuse their unpleasantness for a “bad day” or a “busy day” but nothing has changed. I understand Brandy’s reputation hasn’t always been the most diverse but I didn’t think they would hire employees who would represent exactly that. The moment I walk into the store it’s like I’m walking on egg-shells around the employees as I feel like they create a hostile environment. It’s come to a point where I will notice that they would welcome girls that look exactly like them (white) but pay no attention to those who look different from them.
