Randolph Hills Shopping Center — Local services in North Bethesda

This shopping center has not fundamentally changed in the 38 years I've lived in the area. There has been a turnover in occupancy, of course. One of my favorites is tucked behind the,second row of smaller buildings. Vignola,was a thriving Italian restaurant in down town Rockville back in the 80s and 90s. When everyone who occupied the strip with McGruders, we lost Vignola. It reinvented itself several times and eventually found its niche. Some of the menu items remain but their strength now is catering. That being said, the lunch time crowd loves this place. Pasta with a nice choice of sauces, arancini that cannot be beat, plus great hand made sandwiches to order and you' eat well. There is a great selection of frozen entrees. Lasagne many ways, ravioli, etc. All are yummy. There's a small selection of condiments, crackers and cookies, plus sauces to take out. Worth a visit...you...

Shopped at Koshermart for a few specific things I needed for some recipes. Huge market with a wide range of products. I especially love the variety of ready to heat and eat items. Many are marinated, large number of flavors. Very full deli area, large selection of meats, including chicken, lamb, beef and veal in all cuts, and several fish options. Frozen foods galore, salads, prepared items, items to bake or cook. Packaged foods often have finishing instructions on the labels. Fresh cakes, cookies, babka, challot, rolls, excellent pita, numerous prepared salads, many are Israeli or Lebanese style food. Has a decent supply of alternative foods such as flour and other baking supplies. Frozen foods galore. Really...

Moti's Market is a kosher Jewish food store where I shop for Passover foods. This store has a wonderful Bakery for kosher Passover food. It is always a kosher market with a great meat counter, Deli and bakery. All the canned goods, frozen food, Fresh Bakery and even all the candy are Kosher. There is also a kosher restaurant which is delicious and has different food all the time.

The other large store is a Goodwill store and there are a handful of small businesses some related to Jewish culture. Like marriage license artful certificates...
