Update: finally came back after the hype was over. Had a super friendly cashier this time. Prices are still hit or miss on whether they are cheaper or not. I wanted to get mandarins but they were so packed together that some had gotten squished and were rotting so I had passed. Definitely not going to be a regular store for me but I will come to grab the pizza because my family loves it.
Prices are about the same as Smiths. Some things are priced higher for smaller portions. Some of their store brand products don't taste that great. Others are lower priced and taste amazing. It really widely varies on product taste, price, and quality. Produce was higher priced compared to Smiths. Lots of bruised apples, bright green bananas that will just go straight to brown in my experience of getting them that way. Take and bake pizza was a hit with my family but too big for my oven. I wasn't a fan of the sausage though it tasted funky but my husband loved it. It is a VERY thin crust, similar to Domino's thin crust.
Checkout is lightning fast. Store is very difficult to navigate because there are no overhead signs and things are not really intuitive for navigation.
I have another coupon so I will probably be back to try some different things but it isn't all that it is made out to be in my opinion and experience. My husband felt the same was and was really shocked especially at the cost of the hamburger buns compared to size. When we get bigger buns for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, my disabled mother, her service dog, and I went to this store. We shopped around to get food we needed for our home and were in the store for approx. 45 minutes (because my mother's physical disability causes her to walk slowly) before a store associate or security guard approached us making false claims that she couldn't have her service animal in the shopping cart. The service animal was in the shopping cart because your store does not provide accessible shopping carts for people with disabilities. Instead of offering to help my mother by finding her a cart that would would suit her needs, the associate simply walked away. Lying to customers is one thing, but is actually against the law as discrimination to not have shopping carts for people with disabilities. Furthermore, if this is an issue, than why did the store employees allow us to walk around the store for nearly an hour before saying something? The service animal clearly had her vest on, so it's not like it wasn't obvious. They offered zero assistance and my mother had to limp back to the car after being unable to walk around the store due to this blatant discrimination. We will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Aldi is a complete disaster. They donāt even carry cilantro or other basic produce you would expect to find in a normal grocery store. The entire produce section feels like an afterthought. The store is extremely small and somehow still crowded even with just a handful of people inside. There are only a few aisles and they barely have any essentials.
The staff are incredibly rude. One of them was behind the freezer section restocking something completely unrelated and still felt the need to make a snarky comment when I grabbed a bag of frozen corn. For what reason, I have no idea.
The chicken breast was clearly marked with 50 percent off stickers and when I got to the register they didnāt honor it. It explicitly stated the discount would be applied at the register. No explanation. Just pure laziness and attitude.
They charge you for paper bags (they donāt even have plastic) and still wonāt bag your groceries. Employees are on their phones while the store is a mess and half the shelves are empty. Nobody working there seems to care at all.
Absolutely not worth the trip. I also never write negative reviews, but I feel like this one...
