Customer service : I went during happy hour 3pm on (Monday 6/30/25). The place wasn’t busy, very nice atmosphere and very clean. The host was amazing she allowed my kids to touch the live lobster, they had a ball! So thank you!! Our server Trinity seemed to be overwhelmed as she was working the bar plus tables. The only complaint I had about her service is that with her being overwhelmed she didn’t offer additional bread, small plates for the appetizers or additional napkins, or refills. She did come off a slight passive aggressive ( would be hard to detect if you are not big on energy observation) when I pointed out my daughter didn’t receive her apple juice and my son was missing a side that is when I noticed the shift in her attitude. She didn’t check on us or make friendly conversation, as other waiters. So either you all need to hire more help or simply provide some customer service training. I still left a 22% tip because I recognize working as a waitress/waiter in the food service industry is not always easy.
Food: we waited 45 mins just to be served our biscuits, when they arrived they came out with our main dishes and they were very under cooked and doughy! For starters why wouldn’t the chefs not have biscuits hot and ready? The biscuits were flavorless, gooey and just not it. While many came for the Seafood boiled I literally came for the biscuits. So to be disappointed on this level over biscuits is unacceptable. Management and chef need to be evaluated on their ability to deliver basic things like biscuits. On another note The lobster dip was amazing, instead of getting the seafood boiled we opted for the seafood feast/ that comes with 4 main dishes and 2 sides( we got the snow crab, lobster, grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, broccoli and shrimp Pasta) this is the same price as the seafood boil but you get a lot more. The only things I messed up on was not ordering the cajun butter and garlic sauce on the side. We also got the shrimp bowl! I was sooooo disappointed in the quantity, I had 1/4 of rice and like 5 pieces Shrimp and a handful of lettuce. This was $20. With me not having a big appetite , I got pretty full fast after eating the appetizer and the biscuits that weren’t undercooked, however the quantity will be unacceptable for most people for that price point. Kids meal was truly a kids meal! Not for any kids who are over 5 years old. Quantity was also horrifying.
Cleanliness/atmosphere: the restaurant was nice, it had a wow factor about it because of the lobsters being on display at the entrance and the overall set up of the tables-according to my kids. The bathrooms were kept clean as well. So 10/10 on that.
Closing: the server who came in and took over for my server ( my original server Trinity didn’t even tell us that some else was taking over) she left and we then ended up getting someone else. I believe his name was Josh, but he was great and attentive just wish we had him from the start! RL, please work on your customer services with some of your waiters, invest in chef or restaurant managers who are truly overseeing what’s going on, because it was upsetting to have a failed on...
Read moreCame in with my daughter for dinner. Let me start by saying our server was GREAT, her name was Amber (Amberlee) and she was wonderful, upbeat, knowledgeable and attentive. Unfortunately, once our meal arrived, we spent the entirety of our meal listening to a handful of employees standing around the hostess desk and the wait station (located right next to our table) speaking about their fellow co workers and customers in a less than great way. They were quite loud and unaware that most of us in the restaurant could hear all of their comments. One young lady appeared to be off the clock (in street clothes) but was very much involved in their conversation. One of the men who was "hosting" that night appeared to be either the "ring leader" or is just very energetic by nature, but he made a joke at one point saying "if they're happy, my name is Angel. If they're not, then its something else" I spent $90 dollars on our meal and the atmosphere sucked because of your staff speaking down on customers and coworkers alike. I understand having grievances with customers and coworkers, but having 3-7 people having these conversations literally inches away from customers......not a good look at all. Additionally, and this is what will keep me from returning.......My food was terrible. My steak was undercooked. I asked for medium rare, I got seared edges at best. My lobster was not great, but that could've just been me...my potato was the only part I could finish. I didnt feel comfortable even saying anything to our waitress due to the fact of your staff having a heyday speaking about customers the way they were. I genuinely couldnt be sure something wouldn't happen to my food if I sent it back. It's not the first time my food has been undercooked/less than stellar at this location so I will just find other options to satisfy that seafood craving we get on occasion. Just felt that this worth bringing to...
Read moreFood was ok, Service was excellent! Elmer was our server and under the tutelage of his Manager Frank we really enjoyed the visit. The level of professional was outstanding!
A couple of things…
We moved from our table because another patron came in with their dog. A service dog is behaved this one was not, therefore, should not have been in the dining area. I understand not wanting to leave your pet at home, or understandably, in the hot car, but I could smell the dog before I actually seen it. Claiming you have a service dog is illegal. In doing so, it makes things difficult for those who truly have service dogs.
Next, I did not receive my military discount for my meal. I made the mistake of not pulling out my calculator to add everything up. I also made the mistake of not making sure I received my military discount on $103.95 which was spent on myself alone. I called the location, a young lady sent me to a non-working mailbox. Called back and Jamare or something to that affect answers the phone as though he was at home or answering the his personal phone.
Long story short, Jamare told me he could only issue a digital coupon as though I didn’t know that POS systems can void a ticket, and be rendered, or that a credit can be issued after the fact. It is not a lot of money, but I earned the opportunity to receive such discounts and it is the principle of it all. Asked for the GM, and of course, an old Ms. Cox was not in.
After receiving a $100 tip you would think I would receive what I have earned. After spending almost $200 you would think they would train their people to void a receipt. As you have guessed. No I am Not happy with the result of this call. Keep the discount, you’ve lost a customer and pray Read Lobster will honor their military, and DON’T FORGET to check...
