I went into the store to exchange one item (a shirt I had bought the same day). You would have thought I had asked the associate and store manager to complete an aerospace, biomedical, or nuclear engineering research project. A simple request turned into an unnecessarily complicated situation. I was given a new receipt with a different total. When I asked to keep a copy of my original receipt with the original transaction, I was told I could not because it was against store policy. I like to keep copies of my receipts because if there is ever an issue with my bank, I have records of both the original transaction and the return. If there is ever a discrepancyâsuch as being charged twice, refunded incorrectly, or experiencing delays in processingâthe original receipt provides accurate documentation. It helps resolve issues quickly with both the store and the bank, ensuring I am not held responsible for errors outside of my control. Businesses should understand this; I should not have to explain it to them.
They insisted they could not do it because it was âagainst store policy.â I have never shopped at a store where the customer does not receive some form of proof of their original transaction; either a receipt to show your original purchase or an email for online purchases. I donât understand why this was made so complicated.
I also donât believe this is really a store policyâI feel itâs more an issue of not wanting to help customers. I donât know if this store has a lot of issues with theft, but the employeesâ attitudes are rude, dismissive, inflexible and unhelpfulâand most likely rooted in racism. Not all people are thieves, in the store to steal, or are out to scam, but I feel they profile customers and treat everyone poorly based on negative past experiences.
Every time I go into this store, I encounter problems. They definitely need to review their customer service policies and provide anti-racism and bias training. I won't shop here ever again, it's not worth the frustration, and I would give it zero stars if it was possible. It took 15â20 minutes of going back and forth with the associate and managerâwho repeatedly told me I couldnât have a copy of my receiptâbefore they finally provided a photocopy. Avoid this store...
Read moreWorst customer service I have experienced in a very long time. My sister was here from out of state and we went clothes shopping for our kids. I had great fun with them at the Rainbow in Meadows Mall earlier this summer and thought this one, which is closer, would be great too. Boy was I wrong. The machine would not run my sister's credit or debit cards and the young woman running the register was rude about it. My sister was not happy, but went ahead and paid cash. The woman running the register where I was paying sneered and said it was "always the machine, never the customer" and rolled her eyes. (My sister had just purchased sheets from Anna' using one of the cards and went on to make purchases at Ross & Old Navy with no problems after this). Then the machine had trouble with my card too. It took it, but the woman said she had to write down my credit card information and keep it to send to the central office. (I will be watching my charges carefully.) My sister objected to this and asked to speak to the manager. The woman who was writing down my CC info said 'I AM the manager!" In a very snotty tone. I should have just returned the merch and walked, but we had been shopping and trying things on for a while and it seemed like such a waste of time. DEFINITELY will NOT be returning to that Rainbow, certainly not taking anybody else from out of town. Sad that my sister had to experience such poor customer service her first time shopping in Vegas and her first time shopping in a Rainbow store...
Read moreVery rude and disrespectful. I went to the register after picking out a few sandles. There was no one in line. The cashier was rude. Told me to move out of the way. I had already asked the other customer if she was in line, she said no. So I put the sandles to the side, there is a long counter there, and was waiting. The female cashier told me I had to move and that she was ringing up the Lady whom I had already asked if she was in line and had said no. The cashier was snotty and disrespectful, she also saw that I was using the cane because of being injured. I can't believe how she acted. She refused to ring myself and my family up. She was very nasty. We left without buying anything. I usually enjoy going to the other Rainbow Stores., but I will never shop here. I believe because we are a mixed family, she denied us service. Very disappointed that open racism...
