I took my shoes to this repair shop and and they were Off white And I wanted to dial whibecause they sent them to me off white and I Wanted This used to be white White And he told me that he could do them and when I came back to pick them up. They were the same color and he made scratches and marks cause. I have not worn the shoes. And when I looked at him closely he had put a black mark. That's on the base color I saw a black Mark On my Royal blue color it was a 2 tone shoot based and Royal blue and he put a black mark.He got mad at me because when I came to pick him up. He did not dye the shoes the color that I wanted and he got mad at me and I asked for my money back and he didn't even give me all my money back after I wasn't happy with this guy. That was about 4 months ago 444 months ago and I never came back. But to anybody this guy cannot die shoes. Debbie if he had told me that he could not make him white Then I would have taken them to somewhere else but he had some marks on my shoes that he didn't even get off and I didn't see him when that came and pick him up. I'm just looking at him about a month ago and notice. Cause I haven't put them on. I haven't won it. I kept them in the bag and when I pulled them out they looked at them. I noticed that was a black mark on the Royal blue color so he didn't do a good job. He's he screwed my shoes up. Those were brand new shoes. He is not a good. Repair guy on me that is he a good person that change one color to another. You don't know how to do it, so anybody reading this?Do not get nothing call a change this guy cause he don't know how to do it.I would never recommend nobody else. You go to him check...
Read moreI think it is ridiculous to rate a business low because of a simple mistake. EVERYONE (especially you), makes mistakes. It is the willingness to do whatever it takes, to make it right, that makes a good business.
Personally, I would rate Recino's 15 stars if I could. I took my work boots into Recino's to be resoled. I was charged a fair price and it only a 3 day turn around. "Fantastic!", I was excited. Well, lines were crossed and the wrong soles were put on my boots. The owner ( I assume) and I talked about it, he was willing to start right then replacing the sole but I decided to try them out. Unfortunately, they were not up to the task. I brought my boot back 2 weeks later (the only tread left was right up next to the heal). The owner just put my boots behind his counter and asked me if I wanted black or the off white color (I chose black).
I haven't got my boots back yet but I feel even if he botches up the resoled he did business how business should be done.
Thank you very much. I will see you on Tuesday.
UPDATE.. It's Tuesday, I called the business number, My boots are ready 2 b picked up. I have been having transportation problems because I have a terrible mechanic. My parts will be here tomorrow.
I ended up sending Uber Connect to pick up my boots (best idea I've ever had. Only cost me $8 plus $5 tip.). Well worth it.
Btw, I am my own...
Read moreI brought my Timberland Chukkas for a resole. Asked for the Vibram sole because I wanted to see what it was all about. They put it on, but unlike other Shoe Repair places, they glued the entire sole onto the shoe, whereas other places cut out the center part and just include the front and heel. As a result the shoe feels quite heavy compared to before.
Also, they tacked on 3 nails on the front for some reason. I've had my shoes resoled about 8 times over the past 4 years and nobody has ever done that. I have no idea why they nailed it.
I gave them an additional star because the finishing polish gave the shoe a reddish color that wasn't there before. Before they finished it, the colors were slightly different but now they look more symmetrical, so that's a good thing, even though they took a shoe that was originally brown and made it look kind of red. I should actually deduct a star because of the color change, but I'm adding one.
I'm looking for a new place...
