2024 update. They are designing some world class rings and pretty things YOU WILL BE ASTOUNDED! No I mean it! I’ve been around this family store since 1970 so I’ve seen stuff come & go. But in the last few months I’ve seen some of the most beautiful work at Wirt’s ever, & Ive seen jewelry on every continent except Antarctica. Gold, diamonds & stones are expensive, that’s just a fact. But with their design tech & casting, they have cut labor time & overhead down to make them price competitive with any operation in the world. And that includes the slave labor costume jewelry factories in other countries that mix extra copper in their gold & buy “dirty” stones. I really do expect Wirt’s to enter their designs in international competitions. Stradivarius violins, Rembrandt Painting, Wirt’s Jewelry. That sort of class & quality. But the really cool thing is this, they are home town neighbors & it is really important to them that local folks can have nice things too. And Wirt’s people don’t try to get rich off every single person that comes in. Profit margins are pretty slim. They understand you work hard for your money & life is expensive so they try real hard to get you the best quality that’s within your budget. Been watching it for 50 years.

I took my engagement ring and 2 wedding bands in on 10/29/22 to have them made larger because I can’t get them over my knuckle any more.Lance, one of the owners, advised that they could resize my rings and make them bigger and add a “ u spring” to each ring which would be where I could adjust the rings to fit better once over my knuckle. I was given a written receipt with the price and the details of what needed to be done. I was told the rings would be ready for pickup within a week. Lance then calls me today, Wednesday, to apologize and tell me that he had made a mistake and that the cost would now be $335.55 more than what was listed on the receipt for repairs that he quoted me. Lance said they didn’t include sizing even though that was listed on the receipt. He offered no other alternatives to his error other than me paying the higher price if I wanted the work still done. He refused to honor the written receipt that he had given me 4 days earlier. Needless to say, I went and picked my rings up today and will go elsewhere to have the work done.

People’s word and handshake were enough many years ago. However it is sad that now even a written receipt is not honored by a supposedly reputable business. Definitely not good customer service and is no way to.keep customers coming back for more business.

Wirts Jewelers did an absolutely AMAZING job on my engagement and wedding bands! They look absolutely perfect, and I’ve gotten dozens of compliments! My engagement ring was designed personally by one of the owners, and she did an incredible job working with my husband to create the perfect ring. Also, Wirts does perfect jewelry repair. They repaired a necklace for me that I thought I had broken forever. They restored it to its original beauty! My husband is about to bring them a ruby ring that they have already told him they can repair, which is such a relief to me! They do perfect work. They also have beautiful jewelry in their store to choose from- I have already chosen my Mother’s Day gift- a beautiful necklace with my husband’s birthstone (sapphire), our oldest son’s (amethyst) and youngest son’s (ruby).
