They have everything you need and I lovedddd coming here and spending my money BUT today the manager lady with the blonde tip highlights showed me she is RACIST ! After wondering the Isles for about five minutes I decided to go to customer service ( which didn’t have a line) and ask the manager if she can show me where the UDON noodles are SHE LOOKED DEAD IN MY FACE AND TOLD ME “ NO !” AND SAID LOOK IN AISLE SEVEN OR EIGHT AND I EXPLAINED TO HER I DID AND DIDN’T SEE THEM. SHE TOLD ME NO, AND WALKED AWAY FROM ME. I WENT BACK IN THE AISLE TO LOOK FOR NOODLES AND COULDN’T FIND THEM I ASKED ANOTHER And he told me no also and turned his back to me. I picked up some noodles and realized they weren’t the right ones when I was at the cashier and I asked another cashier she wasn’t sure but she asked someone else Where is the noodles and the lady took me right in front of the register and showed me the noodles. It wasn’t in aisle eight It was a refrigerated item in the front by the registers that I didn’t know. I seen the racist manager walk from customer service on two occasions with two other customers of Asian descent to look for the item that they asked her to help her look for . If you’re BLACK please come in here knowing what items you’re looking for to avoid disappointment and embarrassment I thought I found me somewhere with everything I need but I will continue looking for somewhere my kind...
Read moreI went to this Asian market opened minded because my daughter had spoken to me about it and after browsing for a while I was ready to pay, as I approached the cashier third in line I noticed a gentleman discussing something about a price she was charging that he didn't agree with so she suggested that he showed her the price in question and so they left to check, the trouble is that the cashier left and left no one to replace her so we waited and waited while the dispute with the customer was unresolved, at no point was there anyone telling us to wait or to apologize and since I only had 2 items I left and went to presidente supermarket found the exact vegetables I was looking for and for much less, having said that I must say that they do have many Asian items so most of the customers were indeed Asians or foreigners with Asian wives, would I recommend this place? I can't compare it to another Asian market because I don't know another one in my area so my honest opinion is if you're Asian looking for Asian items then give it a try, happy...
Read moreThe pros: Very organized. Oodles of selection -- the meats and fish, the produce, frozen foods, snacks, instant noodles, sauces, condiments and other accoutrements, soju and sake, dishes, rice cookers, stuff for your home. Good lord, this place has it all. The staff is super friendly, too.
The cons: Being accosted by the security guard for carrying a reusable canvas grocery bag and not having a shopping cart (I was with my mom, who had the cart and the rest of the reusable canvas grocery bags, btw). I was informed I needed to leave the store. I showed him the contents of my bag (wallet, keys, battery pack). Didn't seem to make a difference to him. I went over to my mom, as I, clearly, could not be left to my own devices. There were 6 other people in the store. But I guess they don't use reusable grocery bags. 🤷🏻♀️
The cons have nothing to do with the pros. Just a bad experience today. All my other trips to iFresh have been...
