I had a very disappointing and unsettling experience. I wasn’t even able to enjoy or eat my food due to a serious food safety concern. I witnessed an employee—without wearing gloves—use his bare hands to place hot chicken wings directly into a to-go container (I know this was my order because I ordered chicken wings). It was clear the wings were extremely hot, as he then wiped his hands with a brown paper towel instead of using proper utensils. I was shocked that he didn't use tongs, which were visibly available.
I brought this up to a staff member—an older Caucasian woman—who was very apologetic and understanding. However, another staff member (a Hispanic woman who I’ve seen working there for years) responded with an attitude, stating that the employee had washed his hands. I explained that handwashing alone does not justify handling hot, ready-to-eat food with bare hands. That’s exactly what tongs are for.
Unfortunately, she dismissed my concerns, rolled her eyes, handed me a voided receipt, and walked away. While the first staff member kindly offered to remake my burger, I declined, as I had already lost confidence in their food handling practices.
It's disappointing to see such a lack of cleanliness and proper food safety protocols. This experience left me questioning how often these standards...
Read moreI came here tonight and ordered a gyro combo with a flop and a chicken philly with fries and a drink. No ice in no drinks. When I came to the window the drinks were incorrect. When i told the young lady at the window, the young african american lady with glasses and box braids had the nerve to use something to scoop out the ice out of my cup and added juice or something to that cup. I politely asked her if she can make me another drink in another cup because I didnt know what exactly she used or why she used a tool to remove ice from my cup. I didnt trust it. She then said no she didnt used nothing. I said just I saw you. She said it was just an ice scooper! She made another drink and handed me a fruit punch with juice all over the cup. Juice was leaking all over the cup. Then started sellin out. I no longer trust this miami subs location to serve me food. I do not trust that this location keeps up with their sanitation. I eat here alot and now fear i could've at a burger that fell on the floor or something. I will be contacting the necessary parties to assure no one goes thru this and to assure that Miami subs employees are trained properly, though I will no longer support miami...
Read moreThe food at Miami Subs is generally good quality. The sandwiches are made fresh to order, and the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The burgers are also a good option, and they are cooked to perfection. The fries are also a good side item, and they are crispy and flavorful. The customer service at Miami Subs is not the best. The staff is not always friendly or helpful, and they can be slow to take orders. However, the food is good enough to make up for the lack of customer service. Overall, Miami Subs is a good option for a quick and casual meal. The food is good quality, and the prices are fair. However, the customer service is not the best.
