Today I brought my 6 year old Chihuahua, Ruby, and my 2 year old, newly adopted Chihuahua, Daisy for nail care.
Neither had ever been to a groomer. I've always maintained Ruby's nails (and she's like taming a rodeo horse) and Daisy didn't seem comfortable with me doing hers this morning, so I figured I'd leave it up to the professionals and Petsmart was my first thought.
The team that was on today's noon shift were absolutely and 110% masters of their craft. They patiently, kindly and compassionately handled Ruby in such a way that Ruby didn't even react negatively in the least! She's a BEAST around strangers any other time. A literal, feral beast. But not with today's staff. I was so grateful! To know they not only take pride in their work but they also put heart and soul into their work, is comforting. Thank you all for showing up, hustling the customers through, but equally giving the time needed to compassionately perform your job!
I will certainly be bringing my girls back for their grooming needs! Thank you again!
In addition, the staff at the store are always friendly and helpful. I appreciate that Petsmart is beginning to step up the housing of their animals (the reptiles and such) for sale too. The tanks are more environmentally savvy.
I enjoy the store. I never leave empty handed, I'm not chased around by staff, but their friendly when I track one down. It's a clean store too. Overall, really pleased.
I do go to PSP for my crickets though. They're cheaper and I buy 500 at a time AND they send me 15% off my order coupons or $10 off $60...which means more crickets for my crew. But, on the occasional I get crickets at Petsmart, they don't roll their eyes or make me feel like a burden for asking for 500 crickets! LOL. I have a lot of critters.
I visit many pet stores, all over Ohio, Petsmart, North Olmsted is a favorite of the...
Read moreToday was my first time here. First, I was standing in the center of the store, towards the back, looking at their clearance items. I was distracted looking at things when suddenly an employee started coming down the aisle close to me with a huge cart. She stopped, glared at me, and looked annoyed. She said nothing but I assumed she was expecting me to move. I stepped out of the way, said, "Sorry!" and she said nothing and kept pushing the cart past me. I found this strange but tried to shake it off.
Later, after finding everything I needed, I went to the register to check out. The cashier was friendly. I told her that I also needed crickets and she called it in to whomever does crickets. She told me I can pick up my crickets and pointed where to go. I took my purchased items to the cricket area. The girl standing there (who I believe is the same angry girl with the cart?? I didn't have a good look at cart girl but she had dark brown hair and so did cricket girl) looked annoyed that I was there. She asked me if I was the one who needed crickets and I said yes. Absolutely no friendliness, smile, kindness--NOTHING. I told her "Thanks!" and got no response back. She seemed angry that I was even in the store.
Definitely a bizarre and unwelcoming experience. Never going back there again. Too bad because they had some great items...
Read moreI don’t normally take the time to sit down and write reviews but I had to make an exception this time. I recently enrolled my puppy (his name is Maurice) in the puppy training class at the North Olmsted Petsmart with trainer Collette G., and I could not be more pleased with my experience!! Collette took the time to talk with me and explain what all I/my dog would be learning from the class, what her training methods were, and was able to ensure that I would get the best experience possible. She not only worked well with my dog, but every other dog in the class, making a point that each dog was getting proper coaching. She also worked well with each owner making sure to give us all tips and tricks to make sure that the training and learning didn’t stop when we walked out of the store but would continue at home. I’ve already enrolled Maurice in his next class and cannot wait to work with Collette again. I HIGHLY reccomend booking with Collette in North Olmsted. Even if this means driving a little ways to get to the class, I can ensure you that in the end it will be well worth the trip! Maurice even gives Collette and the entire Petsmart staff in North Olmsted two paws up!!! Also, ask Collette about purchasing a puppy guide. They are full of awesome coupons to ensure your puppy has everything...
