I went online and scheduled an appointment for my son and me. I made sure to arrive on time and we walked through the door 5 minutes early. When we walked in we were asked if we're "walk in or appointment". I said "we have a 12:15 and then 12:45 appointment for the same barber". All was good and we sat down. I noticed the barber that was assigned to us had someone who appeared to have just sat down in the chair. I gave the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait a little bit and be patient (last visit we had to wait 15 minutes past our appointment after arriving 10 minutes early). The cuts here are good, not excellent, but good which is why i figured we'll wait a little bit. We waited patiently and noticed the barber was doing more than just a cut for the customer when he started to bring out the hot towel for a shave. I still waited even though we had things to do that afternoon. I waited to hear if someone would chime in and say "we apologize for the wait, we'll be with you shortly, 5 more minutes, I'm sorry dude...." or anything at all along those lines. I waited until exactly 30 minutes after walking in the door and decided to leave. Not sure why they want customers to make appointments if they're not kept. I understand things happen. So an appointment could be 10 or 15 minutes different than what was agreed upon. Not half an hour...especially with no communication. We then made online appointments down at Fantastic Sam's and we went there and communication was awesome and we were seated less than 10 minutes after checking in. We both got great cuts and I was more than happy to tip both ladies almost the same amount of what each cuts cost. Sorry, but I will take my hard earned money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm relatively new to Northport and this is only the second time I've used this shop. For the last couple years I've gone to Port Charlotte and was always very happy. Especially with Jason who cut my hair there. My first trip to the shop was of course for the new barber. I told him exactly what I wanted and that's exactly the way I can cut my hair I was very happy. This time I called the shop a day early for an appointment late in the afternoon on thursday. I had to take an Uber to the shop and when I got there I had no appointment on the books. There were two barbers working and three people waiting. So I was clocked. They said I could wait for an hour and they try to get me in. But I wasn't interested in that, when the guy who cut my hair previously was not there anymore. This shot I don't believe is up to the caliber of law and Port Charlotte maybe it'll improve. But I'm not going to do anything to rush back there. I'll just go to a place closer to where I live. I'm willing to take my chances of a new Barber at either shop. Or any shop for a matter of fact. This sideline is nothing special, and I don't think it's worth a trip out...
