I have always loved hobby lobby growing up. I have never been to this location. I was shopping for holiday decorations as well as supplies for my own Halloween costume. I ended my trip very short because of some very aggressive lady who works for you guys.
I was standing maybe at most 5 ft away from my cart with my mini backpack sitting in the cart. It was well within four steps reach as well as completely in my eyesight 100%!!!
Hobby lobby employee walks up and asks me if that is my cart. I tell her yes and then she replies " I would not leave that there if I were you!"(as if hobby lobby is just some ghetto store on the street. There was literally nobody else around. )
I then reply with "I am not worried about it. I have a tracker in my purse if it leaves my vicinity my watch will let me know." I feel like I shouldn't have had to explain it to the her this far considering it is MY PURSE, THEREFORE MY PROBLEM.
She then starts to get upset with me for the fact that I still am looking at the products and not grabbing my cart that is RIGHT FREAKING THERE. My cart was not in the middle of an aisle. I had it swooped to the side so it was not in the way. The little aisle I was in would have made it so nobody could get through if I had had my cart in the little aisle with me. I literally posed no threat to my purse whatsoever. I don't get why she was so aggressive about it all.
After I tell her about my watch she then walks further away all agitated with me and then turns back around and lets me know that if she sees me go running it's not her problem... I said " wow ma'am you're super aggressive" and then she laughed at me and walked away and I completely checked out left without all the product I needed.
I didn't want to risk running into her anywhere else in the store. She made my shopping trip uncomfortable. I did tell my cashier about what had happened. I think maybe she needs to be trained better in minding her own business. Like who is she to get mad at me about MY THINGS!!! 😩 So...
Read moreJust want to start by saying I am a year round resident of Punta Gorda and I am very disappointed with Cheryl in the yarn department at the hobby lobby in north port. I am working on my daughters baby blanket, my daughter is due in january, and I needed more yarn for it. I really want it to be finished before she gets here and am eager to get more yarn fast. I called up hobbit lobby a week ago and was transferred to Cheryl in yarn who told me it was ordered and would be in later on with the shipment and I just wanted to make sure it was. While I was talking with her she was very rude and impatient with me. I called back again a few days later and once again talked to Cheryl and she was annoyed that I was calling again and really acted rudely towards me. So I called today and she was once again rude and she said the shipment was in but couldn’t tell me if the yarn was in for some reason and told me to wait until afternoon to come see if it was stocked and that it still might not be in. I was dumbfounded because I had called before the order and specifically asked for this yarn and would have thought that she would order it. So I went in around three hoping that I would be able to get my yarn and she had yet to put the stock on the shelves so I asked if she could go in back and see if it was in and she said she couldn’t. Cheryl is unprofessional and I would hope this is not the type of customer service that is condoned by hobby lobby but she seemed like it was normal. She got in my face and talked down to me while in the store and made me feel like I was wrong for being excited. Cheryl should not be working in customer service if she cannot help people. I do not recommend going to this...
Read moreToday my business partner and I visited this location with our children. When we walked in we had no clue where the items we needed where so we wondered around for a few minutes. During those few minutes of just walking trying to find the items we walked by at least 4 employees some we walked by at least 2 times. Not one of the employees said hello or asked if we needed any type of help. I finally had to ask an employee where I could vinyl as they had no signs like most stores saying what was in that area. Once we found what we needed we probably stood in one isle for 20 minutes picking out what we needed. Another employee walked by us never saying a word. We moved to a different location of the store staying in that one location for 10 minutes and 2 employees were standing in the same location again never saying hello or asking if we needed any type of help. When we checked out the gentlemen who checked us was very nice and told us about a coupon that we could use to get 40% off one regular priced item. The store was very clean and quiet, there were a few rolling carts in the middle isle but still room to move around. They had a lot of different products to pick from, that store would be great for decorating any type space. We did have to visit the restroom to take one of the kids and the womens room was clean and toilet paper and hand...
